About Me

I am currently a tap dancing, crafty SAHM in NC. In my previous life (before marriage and kids) I was an archaeologist. I love to sew, mainly quilts. My favorite part of sewing is...fabric! I am one of those people who likes to touch all of the fabric in the store! I love ribbons and buttons and dohickeys, although generally I look at them more than use them. I also enjoy stamping, collage, scrapbooking, and crocheting. My eye is drawn mostly to papers and fabrics with bold colors and designs. I've been using a lot of browns and blues and rose colors in my crafts. Green is always a big favorite of mine. I especially enjoy anything with the folksy Dia de los Muertos skeletons and skulls and Frida Kahlo. I also enjoy anything having to do with the beach, Hawaii, or tropical places. I garden in the spring and fall and water during our hot summers. I tend to be more practical in my craft and fabric purchases, admiring the wow stuff, but not actually getting it because I don't know how I would use it!

Favorite Music

Indie, Folk, Tango for hanging out, crafting; Hip hop and pop for working out; They Might Be Giants and Jack Johnson for singing in the car with the kidlets; world, folk, irish. I actually appreciate all types of music.

Favorite Movies

Love Actually, 50 First Dates, Oceans 11, Amelie, Chocolat, Hero, Closer, Napoleon Dynamite, Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums. My favorite movies are those quirky comedies, but every now and then I appreciate something heavier.

Comment: I have only just received this list (7th Jan, postmarked 31st Dec). It definitely meets the swap requirements, therefore the 5. However, I'm a bit puzzled as to why it has arrived 3 months after the send date!!
Response: Hi FleaGirl-Found it stuck in the side door of my car!!!! I thought I had mailed it with the others, but apparently not!
