UPDATE I went AWOL from Swap-bot when I got five hundred zillion jobs (okay, not really, but three is a lot for me!). But, I am working on resending my private fantasy map swap of which I am so glad I had saved a photo for the sake of my own pride!!! and will resume with swapping - very slowly - once I know it has been received.
I'm just a girl living in Canada with her boyfriend, Dave, and her menagerie.
I am very easygoing, but if your swaps smell like smoke, then no thank you.
It makes me sad to have to say this... but if I receive a package that has any dairy in it, I will not give a heart no matter what. My profile - at least the important part - really isn't long, and that would mean it wasn't read. While my veganism may be a life choice, my allergy and intolerance to dairy is not. "May contain" or "made in a factory that uses" is okay - whey, casein, milk powder, etc is not.*
I believe in recycling! Unfortunately, some of the irregular-sized swaps require boring, standard packaging. I am trying to learn what does and does not withstand the postal system. If you hate the envelope, I can pretty much guarantee you'll enjoy the contents.

Vegan. No, not a scary and bite-your-head-off kind of vegan, but I do not eat or use any animal products. I also happen to be very seriously allergic to milk products, so PLEASE - no milk. =]
That includes whey and casein. If the package says that, no go.
I do not like or want trinkets or things that I can't put to a practical use and don't really need. I'm not into cheapy stuff from stores that outsource to China. Well, not usually.

Catheryne Rainbow Jewel Montgomery, age 19. Purr In Peace, my babe. January 1, 1992 - March 2 - 2011.
Sasha Alexis: We are currently fostering this little lynx-point Siamese. She's very sweet. I am considering making her a forever girl.
Danny McManly: We are currently fostering this handsome devil. He's a brown mackerel tabby with the most brilliant yellow eyes. He may well become a forever boy.
| Bunnies |
Bunbun Montgomery-Miller: I didn't name him, he only has three legs, and he's allergic to a wood shavings. He's a rescue from a pet shop. He doesn't know he's a bunny and is quite a silly little flopster.
Tommy Vanilla Buttercream Fancyears: he's white, he's got beautiful blue eyes, he's ridiculous, and he is a total bruiser when you touch his boyfriend, Johan.
Johan: Tommy's boyfriend. The smallest of five identical brothers who got beaten up and came to live with Tommy for some TLC.

I am interested in doing one-on-one trades with one or more of the following:
penpalling | photos | charity | books&reading | vegan recipes | chocolates | teas | travel-related | nature-related | eco-friendly | writing challenges | photos
I am a unique person with an umbrella full of interests, and as such my personal style is a constantly-changing aesthetic all of its own.
I have recently gone to short fringe that falls past my eyebrows with layers down the side of my face. I don't often change my hair, but I like the impish look this gives me.
While I think of myself as a vibrant person, blues and neutrals dominate my wardrobe. I have dresses in almost every colour, but my day to day wear is calm and muted with earthy and neutral tones.
Of possible note to be wary of:
I hardly ever wear makeup, and when I do, I am very particular.
I love scarves, but they aren't particularly flattering on me if they aren't pashminas.
Jewelry is another rarity. I like what I wear to be unique and timeless. Please don't send me any - I hardly ever wear what I own as it is.
If you want to make me a happy girl, here is a list of things that will do the trick! xox Check my Etsy faves for more of an idea.
(Warning, this is constantly changing!)

Hey hun, I sent your "GROUP: CHALLENGE: Purple! swap" some time ago, but got it back today needing 25 cents more stampage.. so sorry, how frustrating. I also hear there's threat of a Canada wide postal strike, so I'm wondering if I should wait to send.. anyways, I wanted to let you know so you didn't think I hadn't sent! Haha, seeing as how we're the only ones in the swap and all.
Mmmmmm......
