Description:

Welcome to the Nature Photography group's second challenge!

The theme of this challenge is purple! The key to this challenge is finding three purple things occurring in nature and take one photograph of them all together.

The swap shall consist of the following:

  • A minimum of 1 photo.
  • A letter to your partner about how this shot came about.

Please abide by these terms:

  • Photos printed on good photo paper (if you don't have any, your local drugstore probably does 1-hour printing).
  • The smallest a photo can be is 4x6, though all formats are accepted.
  • Because of the delicate nature of photos, please send in appropriate packaging.

I'll try to be clearer in my definition.

Any three purple things that grow in nature or exist naturally. I know that for me, an easy target would have been the violets that grow rampant in my yard (if they weren't all dying already), purple tulips, maybe a few beautiful purple geodes... anything, really. Any three purple things, and then photograph them together. The setting is up to you, the styling is up to you. I don't want to get any more specific, as this is a challenge, but hopefully I have cleared up any confusion.

If you're stuck for inspiration, check out google images for "purple bouquets" or "purple" whatever. Maybe it'll jog some inspiration.

Hope this helps! :)

JUST SO WE ARE ALL CLEAR:

The objective of this swap is not to feel as though you have to go to a florist's and buy purple flowers. I know that may feel as though it's a last resort, but the challenge is to find three naturally-occurring purple things and photograph them. I wish us all good luck in our quest!
