Description:

Hello, you lovely swappers! Would you like some tea? I know I would!

If there has been a swap similar to this that has been done recently, I apologize, but I thought this would be a lot of fun! This is my first time hosting a public swap, and if anyone has feedback, please feel free to leave it. I want everyone to have fun!

The directives for this swap are as follows. Each swapper must send their partner:

  1. A minimum of four teabags, all of different types and according to their partner's taste. If you do or do not want loose tea, you ought to write your preferences below so you don't end up with anything unwanted!
  2. A letter indicating your top five people - living or dead, real or fictional - that you would love to invite to a party, and why. The letter must be at least one page typed or two pages handwritten.
  3. What tea party is complete without desserts? Each swapper must send their partners at least one dessert recipe that would compliment their fictitious tea party.

I'm sure your partner wouldn't mind extra goodies, but as long as the above three guidelines are followed, everyone should be able to enjoy this swap!

Enjoy!

I don't mind loose tea, as long as it's labeled clearly and as long as it's not chai. Ohhh, the dreaded chai.

Hi Guys,

Sorry I cannot do this as I am a newbie, but would LOVE to be in on this in the future should it NOT fizzle out. I LOVE tea no matter what kind, oops, except, I HATE tea with lemon, yuk. Loose tea is great if it is in those little tins even better, because I collect them..I only have a few, maybe 4 or 5 so I cannot send mine in containers, but they will be in a zippy and labeled when and if I get to join.

Have a wonderful tea party.

@MurphyPagan thanks for your interest! =)

To all others who are thinking about joining and/or are on the Watchlist, join away! I promise you this will be a fun swap to participate in.

dang! I wish I wasnt a newbie....I am obsessed with loose leaaf and high quality tea!! I'll look forward to joining a swap like this in the future!

At much encouragement, this swap is now newbie-friendly! =)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, this is going to be an awesome swap. Looking forward to it.

Now I have to say that some of our teas that are in bags in a boxes are NOT individually wrapped. They are inside a paper lined box and then I transfer them to a Glass Tea Jar, so if they must be in a little sealed packet, I will have to seek out the ones I can find at the shops, but I will most definitely seal them in a zippy and make sure it is labeled, but most have a string with a name tag.

I am so happy to be a part of this International Tea Party.

I do have to say that I know that anyone in Australia is not allowed to be shipped tea from outside the country, so we all must be aware of this when assigning partners, etc. Sorry, just being over anxious..hehe!!

I would prefer to not have loose tea or those that are not individually wrapped.

If you send loose tea to me, please make sure there is absolutely no chamomile in it as I'm allergic! Everything else is ok.

rachrnm 04/ 9/2011 #

If anyone has any questions about this swap, newbie or non-newbie, I'll gladly answer any PMs that come my way ASAP. I want this to be fun for everyone.

Not that I am expecting any flakers, but if there are any, I will angel. Anyone who flakes in my swap is not welcome to participate in any future swaps I host. I try to run a tight ship, here. :)

rachrnm.. oh lol you do not like chai.. well i love chai, i am from India..

rachrnm 04/11/2011 #

@rabu I wish I loved chai. It's so nice-smelling, just not nice in my tummy. I don't know why! However, I'm assuming real Indian chai is probably better than anything I've had.
