Hello I am Laura, nice to meet you. I'm new to swap-bot but can't wait to get stuck in ! Erm...I am a yorkshire lass born and bred and I live upto my name by drinking lots of tea. I'm 23...which makes me young a little responsible but with no idea where I'm going in life still. I will soon be a BA Hons Design graduate...yay...and like many others I love to craft, create, draw, photograph and try anything creatively expressive. I enjoy dancing, from a young age it was ballet, jazz and tap and later in life it was zumba, salsa and more recently my new found love of chair burlesque (hurts your muscles lots!) Occasionally I go to the odd nightclub but I am more of a pub girl and although I love shopping, I like to balance it out with trips to museums and galleries and new events. I have suffered from anxiety for many years but seem to be taking control more as I get older and have also been diagnosed with PCOS it would be nice to meet people who have shared these experiences. I really want to get involved with ATC collecting but its not something I'm experienced in yet. Overall I am friendly compassionate and open minded and I hope to be swapping with you soon. xx
Oh my ! I really don't know where to begin...your typical chic flick however cheesy is always a win...to name a few of my faves...'Wild Child' 'St Trinians' 'Definately Maybe' or 'The sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' then I am partial to more manly films like 'Blade Trilogy' or 'X-men' I love musicals...specially the good old ones like 'High Society or Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. What I like to call classic films...'When Harry met Sally' and 'Far and Away' are a few of my no.1's. Or a good deep film like 'Lovely Bones or 'Green Mile' those that stretch your brain cells. Really I enjoy films and I am running out of room for my DVD's fast ! Oh and HARRY POTTER FAN ! In both film and book form !
I have lulls of reading, sometimes I can't get my head out of a book and other times I can't bare to sit still long enough to read one. I adore Jacqueline Wilson for all the pleasure she gave me as a child and young teen. J.K Rowling is my Heroine ! Jodi Picoult isn't too far behind. I would like to find my reading bug again though and not just for research purposes.
DR WHO ! ! ! Oh how it brings the geek out in me ! I love it ! Good crime thrillers like Jonathan Creek and my most recent fave...White Chapel. I have also been encouraged to catch the Downton Abbey bug and i'm now in love.
I always find it difficult to pin point this because I appreciate all types of music and what I am listening to will depend on my mood and recent life events. I would probably consider my favorite band to be Black Stone Cherry but not sure if I could justify why and Prodigy are a close 2nd.
I an currently planning a fundraising event for the MS society in the memory of my grandad whom we sadly lost after a life long battle with MS last year. I would absolutely love to receive anything I could use at the event e.g small prizes, game ideas, decorations and any other fun bits you can find.
Don't worry too much about me, I'm pretty hard to displease and I'm more than happy to be sent things that are new and unusual as well as things I already like.
The following things I do enjoy are....
