I'm a compulsive knitter whose new obsessin is socks. Blankets and scarves are cool and all, but once you've turned a heel, it's magic. I like making beaded jewelry, reading science fiction and fantasy and some detective novels, and I love small animals, furry ones and reptile-y ones. My son thinks I can make anything, mostly because I haven't given him reason to think otherwise. I'm love all thing green -- though my thumb is plaid (plants only live a little while), all shades from Kelly to acid. Purple is lovely. Orange is not so lovely. I like red on other people. Can't go wrong with blue -- October skies to electric to ocean.

80's pop, Lyle Lovett, the Eagles, Steely Dan, the Clash, Ministry, Veruca Salt ... pretty much anything that's not modern country or Celine Dion.

The Princess Bride, The InLaws, any X-Men, Desk Set, North by Northwest, Bringing Up Baby, Blast from the Past. And OMIGOD, Happy Feet.

Knitting. I'll sew and I'll bake and I'll build things out of cardboard and construction paper, but knitting is my verb. I love my DPNs.
