I am a west Texas high school science teacher. My husband in the army, my son is 10 years old and we have a dwarf hairless cat, snails, fish and a turtle!
I like crafts and baking/cooking but most of my entertainment interests are definitely off-type!
My favorite colors are earth and jewel tones. I like eclectic, primitive, gothic and southwestern imagery.
I like interesting paper scraps, old looking ephemera, odd images, beads, buttons, unmounted stamps, brush pens. I also like southwest, day of the dead, skeleton, and tribal theme items.
I am pretty easy to please. If I had to pick dislikes I would say I am not into cutesy cartoons, country, religious and Disney motifs.
Alt Metal and Post Grunge are my favorites. I like Volbeat, Kid Rock and Black Stone Cherry.
Don't like jazz or classical.
I like mysteries and horror. My favorite authors are Jance, Patterson, King, Palahniuk and Barr. Most recently finished Ice Princess, a mystery set in a small Swediish Sea Village
I don't enjoy romance or historical fiction.
I enjoy science fiction, horror, and mysteries. I liked District 9, Babylon AD, and Tropic Thunder for a laugh.
Usually, I dislike chick flicks and war movies.
For fiction I watch crime (Criminal Minds, Perception, Law & Order), sci fi (Torchwood, Doctor Who), and BBCA (Copper).
My new addiction is the Create and Craft Channel...part Carol Duvall and part QVC with a British accent.
For reality shows I like junky shows like Project Runway, 600 Pound Life, Top Chef, and Discovery channel programs.
I don't get into romantic comedies, sports,or soaps.
I do a lot of ATCs, card making, jewelry, and knitting. It is fun to use my creativity and fun to buy craft supplies :)
I enjoy at least attempting every type of craft. I recently attended a encaustic painting class that was fun! I want to try precious metal clay and lampworking next.
Crafts that I do not like are plastic canvas and knitted home decor (toilet paper cozy) and overtly religious themed.
