I am a retired elementary school librarian. I have four grown children and 8 grandchildren. I live in a small town in the rural state of Vermont, USA. I love to write letters and send postcards.(through postcrossing.com).
My favorite genres of books are Mystery and Poetry.
But I also delight still in Childten's Picture Books and enjoy sharing them with my younger grandkids.
I craft greeting cards by recycling ones I've received, adding embellishments like ribbon, stickers, washi tape, glitter trim, etc. This Christmas I gave my friends some as gifts.
I also experiment with Zentangle. I've taken several free Zoom classes .
My favorite pastimes are playing water vollryball at an acquatic center, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, reading, playing cribbage, trying new recipes and enjoying tea time with friends (via Zoom during the pandemic).
I have spent a lot of time during the pandemic watching movies. I am lucky to have access to new movies at a library I work at one day a week (we are only doing Take Away services for patrons). I am enthralled with anything made by the BBC - historical or mysteries.
Once I retired, I was able to travel more. I have been on 2 River Cruises - on the Rhone and the Rhine. Wonderful way to explore the world. Daily excursions where we docked allowed us to see incredible historical sites.
Also did a land tour of Australia, visiting Sydney, Melbourne, and the Great Barrier Reef.
To escape winter we travel to St. Croix for 2 weeks in February. Of course the pandemic has put a halt on travel. I look forward to being able to visit my grandkids mid April in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maryland.
