i'm the mommy of two minis - originally from germany, but now in the foothills of the rockies - i love my 4 c's... crafts, crochet, coffee and cookies - addicted to christmas ornaments - enjoy good books and thriftstores - sunny winterwonderlands - and so much more
aug 2011... back in germany!! now let's find some fun international swaps :) as for my adress: please use the apo with matthew stutz c/o nicole kennedy... for european swappers: pm me if you'd prefer a german mailing adress...
i have a thing for the weird and not typical movie-goer movies... dancer in the dark, big fish, black snake moan, love and a .45, intolerable cruelty - actually everything by the coen brothers :), run lola run, donnie darko, la grande bouffe.... and a bunch of german idie movies, unfortunately nobody seems to know them on this continent!
i LIKE everything colourful, although when it comes to my design-skills and living environment, i tend to stick with muted tones and an earthy feeling... i love little knick-knacks, stickers and the oldfashioned paper cutouts... takeshi's castle... pretty flower pots... IKEA... sneaking peeks into peoples houses and imagining about them and their livestyle... elephants... gothic style make-up... i enjoy oddly shaped beads... painted pebbles... the wall and ceiling frescos of old european churches... building fairy houses... everything by tom's company... rebus puzzles... fleamarkets... goodwill... childfriendly crafts and framing the little doodles my midgets produce... waldorf inspired art... finding the unexpected... paintings by rubens... the game where one writes down a sentence, covers it up and has everyone else add on to it... family guy... hot beverages... ohhhh and so much more...
i DISLIKE colourful junk, the stuff you find at cheap dollarstores - unless i can really see a meaning in it... hello kitty and everything japanese and manga like... almost everything that requires batteries just to beep, blink and get on my nerves... being wasteful... wood wall paneling... dreamcatchers, although i like the idea very much... fur... can't think of anything else major enough... hmmm, guess i'm easy to please :-)
basically everything and more... shiny toy guns, discoboys, corvus corax, cat stevens, red hot chilli peppers, afi, tanzwut, dixie chicks, cake, guster, the fray, system of a down, faudel, anett louisan, vat empire. sugarbabes, evanescence....
right now i'm totally content with my crochet, although i envy all those beautiful knitting friends of mine... it just seems their opportunities are endless and ohh i do love wool so much...
i also have a sewing machine, but that just sits and laughs at me, i guess all those youtube how tos haven't done the trick for me :-(
hmmm, scrapbooking - i have stickers, vellum, stamps, paper etc, i just don't seem to get the hang of it, and the thought of ripping my beautiful paper in pieces, argh :-) hahaha, one day!
and in general i really just enjoy trying my hand at things that catch my eye. or just to plain and simple repurpose something... there is just so much to do, see, learn...

Middlesex is a great book, but I had a hard time following him. He goes off on tangents a lot! But he was very descriptive and maybe I will pick it up agian sometime! Right now I just started reading Hungry by Crystal Renn and it's pretty good!
