About Me

I'm crafty person who decided to go to school for what I loved. I have a BFA in graphic design and love invites and other paper goods. Don't get me wrong though, I love to sew and crochet just as much! I have two adorable fur babies (Princess, my cocker spaniel and Muscles, my cockapoo) and an awesome husband all in the wonderful (yet chilly) Chicago.

Favorite Movies

Crybaby has been #1 for me since I was a child, a close second is the original Hairspray, and Serial Mom. I'm originally from Maryland so I'm sure that influenced me a bit.

Favorite Crafts

Paper crafts used to be number one for me but now I don't know what I'd do without my sewing machine or crochet hooks.

Just to clarify, by "paper crafts/goods" I don't mean scrapbooking or origami. I mean handmade books, pop up cards - pretty much anything with great design!

I also adore amigurumi and felt stuffies/dolls, too.

Current Obsessions

Hippos, giraffes, teapots, succulents, and cupcakes.

Stuffies, plushies, softies - whatever you like to call them, I love them. The smaller the better! I used to join almost every teen tiny stuffie swap out there though they don't seem to exist anymore.

Brooches, pins, pin cushions basically anything made of felt.

Colors/Textures/Etc...

My absolute favorite color is orange - deep burnt orange. Mustard is great and so is chartreuse. Grey and teal too, who am I kidding? I love deep purple too!

I love vintage patterns with loud colors, geometric shapes and bold prints.

Comment: I can't rate you a 5 anymore, since this was sent nearly 1 month late. It was marked sent 2 days after the sent by date, was contacted 10 day later that it wasn't send by then. It finally was sent on May 13. The stuffie is really lovely though and thanks also for the extras you included.

Hi Jaims! :) I saw that you posted in the forums about private swaps and I have never done a private swap before and don't know how to but I would love to if you would also! Now here's the thing though, I'm not actually a "newbie" I joined back in 2007, however, back then I joined too many swaps at once and got overwhelmed which caused me to get bad ratings and then I just hadn't been on here for a long time until recently. Now that I am back though I have been trying to contact my swap partners in 2007 who I owe stuff to and so far have heard back from a few who are very excited to hear that I'm going to finally send them stuff, I feel bad about how it went down in 2007 but am happy to make it as right as can be now! Meanwhile, I am keeping up on new swaps I'm in very well and not committing to too many at once like I had back then. If you look at my list of current swaps, it looks like it's long, but most of the swaps on that list are from 2007, they are going to remain there for now while I continue trying to contact swap partners to complete the swaps properly!! Anyhow, if after knowing all of this you still would like to do a one on one swap with me, I am happy to send to you first and for you to not send to me until you recieve from me if that makes you more comfortable!!
