I'm a student currently living in Oregon, in the United States. I joined swap-bot to supplement my new postcard addiction. I like animals, knitting, cooking, and baking. I'm studying psychology and thinking about law school in the future.
I really like to craft things, but I'm not very good at anything except knitting. I really like to knit, it's a good way to be productive even if I'm being lazy and watching TV. I also sometimes try to draw, with varying success. I'm hoping to get some nice envelope templates for Christmas so I can start making handmade envelopes.
I have two very furry dogs at home, named Snickers and Rex. They are very playful and loving, but they are getting older and less energetic : ( We adopted them from the Humane Society.
In addition to school, knitting, and sending postcards, I maintain a blog of the postcards I send and receive. You can take a look here
The Simpsons, Futurama, Stargate (watching SG-1 and Atlantis currently), Mr Bean, House, Bones, Peep Show, Monty Python, Family Guy, everything David Mitchell and Robert Webb, Firefly, Law and Order SVU... gee I watch a lot of TV : )
The Beatles, They Might Be Giants, OK Go, Simon and Garfunkel, The Decemberists, Cat Stevens, XTC, My Morning Jacket, Belle and Sebastian
anything about food and food production (including cookbooks), Margaret Atwood, Oscar Wilde, biographies of scientists, Kathy Reichs' books, books about ancient Egypt, books about psychology
(in no particular order): elephants, penguins, cows, dogs (especially Samoyeds, Chow Chows, and Airedale terriers), pigs, sheep, goats, owls, kiwi birds, kittens, manatees, whales, fuzzy caterpillars
Postcards! I love to collect postcards, that's why I'm here! I like my postcards stamped, written on, and mailed without an envelope. I like postcards that show:
I also like when there are cute stickers on my postcards. That gives me an extra smile!
The only thing I don't like are recipe cards with meat/seafood/fish recipes, or anything that shows animals suffering.
I will put to good use any nice stationery, fountain pens/ink, stickers, cardstock/cardboard for making handmade postcards; old calendar pages, maps, and wrapping paper (for making envelopes) and anything small and cute.
I'm not a stamp collector at all, but I do enjoy a neat/new stamp. If you have one of the following stamps (and need 1st class postage), I'd love to see it on a postcard headed my way!
I'm particularly looking for these:
US: * any of the Simpsons commemorative stamps * the Owney the postal dog stamp * the "Go Green" forever stamps
UK: *the new Roald Dahl stamps

Hello! I checked out your blog, I love the design and some of the postcards you have are really neat! (:
I've taken 2 psychology classes, 1 in high school and 1 in college, it's such an interesting subject! I'm going towards medicine so now I'm taking more math and science classes!
Anyhoo, I hope you have a wonderful evening!

Hey, I love your postcard collection especially the Michigan - wolverine state one. >_< Do you have any from Ireland?
What kind of things have you knitted? I used to knit back when I was in school. I was terrible though, everything I ever did was always riddled with holes!!! XD I wasn't much better at sewing and I remember that my mother used to always give out to me for never learning to properly sew but I have an amazing boyfriend who can sew and cook and do lots of other stuff that I can't. He completes me! XD
Ah Snickers and Rex are such cute names for your dogs. I'm more of a cat person though. Do you like cats? One of my beautiful cats, Garfield died two weeks ago. She was hit by a car! ='( I miss her so so much she was a great cat and sometimes she would eat chips and lasagne! (like Garfield the cartoon)
Well I hope you have a fantastic day and please don't forget to rate 'cause I'm new here and need the ratings.

Hi! I am one of your partners on the Profile Love ♥ Quick Swap #3. First welcome to swap-bot and I hope you have a wonderful time swapping! This is a great place to swap postcards, so hopefully you will get bunches of them that work for your collection! Wow, you have to have quite the load with studying psychology! I wish you all the best with your law school future! I love some of the same music that you do, as you seem to like some older artists! The Beatles, Cat Stevens and Simon & Garfunkel rock! I also enjoy Kathy Reich's books! Hope to swap pcs with you at some point! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
