I sew patchwork by hand, so I love playing with fabric scraps.
I do letterboxing and stamp carving, so I love scrapbooking types of embellishments for making logbooks.
And I'm always exploring new simple types of crafts I can do with my 5-year old daughter.
I'm an Etsy-addict, and I sell patchwork items at lavenderpatch.etsy.com.
I love handmade items, from bath and body treats to jewelry to handmade toys.
I love stamp-carving, and doing letterboxing. On atlasquest.com my trailname is SweetEllGee.
I am a mother and full-time government employee. So, a little sewing and crafting is my necessary creative outlet.
And, I'm always trying to de-clutter my home.
This is why I joined swap-bot. =)
Colorful fabric scraps that are mostly suitable for children. And felt, fleece and minky fabrics. Japanese fabrics are also super awesome.
Any kind of scrapbooking embelishments, like ribbons, stickers, ephemera, and papers.
Scents that are organic, but not too fruity or flowery. As far as candles and soaps, I like harvest or citrus types of scents the best.
Small pendants, that are botanical or animal in nature. Necklaces and pendants are the only jewelry I wear, and sometimes bracelets. Not interested in earrings at all.
As far things with animals on them, I like sparrows, rabbits and deer. If they are child-type items my 5-year old would enjoy, then kittens, puppies and monkeys are always a hit.
Primative, country types of decor (like what is found at thecountryhouse.com)
For home decor I like greens, deep reds, and cream and yellow shades.
For clothing I like blues, purples, greens and creams. And I wear a size small shirt.
I love headbands.. especially fabric ones. Child headbands are always welcomed, as well. Or any child hair accessories (for toddler or little girl).. especially if they are handmade.
I like acquiring books, especially historical fiction and true-crime. The only non-fiction books I'm interested in are about home organization, money management or crafting.
I don't mind religious items, but prefer them to be about faith and hope, and less about biblical references. I like items with crosses, as well.
I like to put out holiday types of decor, mostly for my daughters' enjoyment. So any Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween, etc. decorations would be fun to receive.
Anything associated with Letterboxing, like small air-tight containers, cardstock, markers, or stamp-carving supplies of any kind.
Stuff related to hiking, camping, and just enjoying the great outdoors in general.
My favorite television shows are: Project Runway, Parks & Recreation and Mad Men.
My favorite music is: 60s rock and folk, 80s pop and new wave, 90s alternative and I'm a sucker for cheesy ballads. The newer stuff I like are Regina Spektor, Iron and Wine, Brandi Carlile, and some christian music like Barlow Girl and 10th Avenue North.
My favorite movies: Independent movies and documentaries. I also like juvenile comedies like SuperBad and The Hangover.
Anything made with real animal fur (except wool, of course) or other animal parts.
Anything kitchy. It is fun to look at, but in all honesty would end up going out in a garage sale.
Anything too modern. I appreciate how it looks, but just wouldn't work in my home.
ATCs and postcards. I'm just not into collecting these types of things, and in all honesty, my kids would get a hold of them and probably destroy them.
Not a fan of science fiction or fantasy stuff.
For swaps involving items for children, my 6-year old daughter loves: - Littlest Pet Shop - Barbie - Cupcake / Bakery types of items and toys - Kittens and Puppies
My 2-year old daughter loves: - Minnie Mouse - Spongebob Squarepants - Hello Kitty - Giraffes and Elephants
