Description:

This swap is for a mix of songs that have been performed by more than one artist. You need to put two different versions of each song on the cd.

It might be the original artist (eg. Fred Astaire doing The Way You Look Tonight) doing one version and then someone doing a cover (eg. Michael Buble) of the same song.

Alternately, it might be two different artists doing a classic song that neither of them actually made famous (eg. Wild Mountain Thyme: one version done by Steve Macdonald and one done by Dar Williams).

They don't have to be word for word identical (eg. Elton John's version of Your Song versus Ewan McGregor) as long as the chorus and most lyrics are similar.

Clear enough? Newbies are welcome. Others: No recent no-sends. International. 1 cd to 2 partners. Minimum of 16 songs on the cd (8 songs done by two different artists).

I love this idea and am running through my cd collection right now for the perfect songs!

Can we use two songs with the same title but different lyrics?

ccap 02/20/2010 #

Melogee, the lyrics can be slightly different for sure but they can't be too different. That is, there has to be a chorus or bridge or such that are the same lyrics in both.

As soon as I signed up I thought of my playlist. So excited about this one.

What order do we put the songs in? Right now I have set one followed by set two. I don't think I would like listening to the same song back to back even if it is different artists.
