I'm the mother of two teenagers and wife of a geek, (software engineer). I love to be creative. I love to make jewelry, paint (any medium), sew, ATCs, time with family, listening to music, cook and work. I also have a great career as a sworn officer. I specialize as a Latent Print Examiner and CSI.
I love the colors green and red. Any shade any opacity. I have also stumbled upon Zentangle which has proven to help me relax after a stressful day of work.
I love ATCs. I love to make them and receiving them. I keep them in the plastic baseball card pages in a notebook that goes with me almost everywhere. I show them off to my co-workers so if you have ever sent me an ATC, a lot of people have seen it!
I like metal/rock music mainly. I love Avenged Sevenfold. Classic rock is great too especially in the summer. I do not like rap or country music. I don't care for pop music either. I live in the southeastern part of the US, (North Carolina), so just about everyone around me listens to country and that's fine but not my cup of tea.
I like to collect antique books and look through them for the little scribbles that past owners have left. I have found a four-leaf clover in one and a really old recipe for vinegar pie in another, it was pretty good.
As far as reading, I love books on Art and making art from discarded items I am also interested in journal making.
My favorite movies include Harold and Maude, Drowning Mona, Brick, Gosford Park, Harry Potter (any), and I absolutely loved The Shining (with Jack Nicholson).
I like to watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Hell's Kitchen sometimes. TV is just so....eh....lately.
Life is tough. Life is tougher if you're stupid.

What I expect in a Swap is common sense. Not for the swap itself but for the transaction. If you get sick or are sick - let me know when you get sick especially if its bad enough to lay you up awhile. Its not just common sense but also courteous. If you sign up for a Swap and you're given a week or so to do it, don't wait until the day before you're supposed to send it to message me and tell me that you haven't even done it yet and your too sick to do it and it will be postponed indefinitely. That has red flags all over it. Really, what am I supposed to think? What would you think if you were in my shoes? Bottom line, I'd rather you be honest than take me for a schmuck and lie. Sometimes crap happens that cannot be helped so give me the benefit of the doubt and trust that I will be understanding. I have so much more patience with honesty than anything else. Hey, I'm human, I procastinate too. When you keep your integrity intact no one can touch you!
