Hi everybody!
I'm in my early thirties. I live smack in the middle of Berlin, the capital of Germany, together with my family of five. No pets for us.
I love mail (and mail-art), sewing, Zumba, houseplants, traveling and boardgames.
I started snailmailing when I was in elementary school, my first penpal was my cousin and I wrote letters ever since. I got back into the penpalling world (meaning writing to people I don't know in person as well) in 2011 and love receiving mail from far away. Most of my penpals are around my own age. If you'd like us to write regularly, let me know!
I sew clothes for my kids and rarely for myself or my husband as well, so I use knit fabrics. I have a way too large stash according to the rest of my family members.
I love traveling! I would love to see and get to know at least one new country every year.
I also really like to play boardgames, so if you have any reccomendations let me know.
I speak German, English, Spanish and understand most of French, so feel free to use any of these languages :)
Colours - I would say anything that has a colour is great and I really enjoy blue and green and light pink.
Stamps - I really like pretty stamps - please always try to use real stamps on your envelopes - I prefer the lick and stick ones. It would be great if you could try not to cover them up with tape!
Postcards - colourful touristy postcards (preferably with a single view) are my favourites :) Please stick to postcards from the country you're sending from. Some ideas: I really like lighthouses, pictures of local food or costumes, landscapes, wild animals and natural phenomenas. I'm not fond of cityviews.
If you send me a postcard, please write a few sentences! Tell me about the picture of the postcard, about your day, about the last book you read, something you witnessed that day - anything! Just please write something on the card :)
I'm very easy to please and think that anything personal sent through the mail is wonderful, but of course there are things I don't get too excited over.
I enjoy learning about different cultures and religions, but I'm quite sure in my beliefs and don't want you to convert me.
I'm not a fan of creepy stuff.
I rarely wear jewelry or makeup so I'd prefer not to get any - send it to someone who's happy about it :)
I'm not a fan of cigarette smoke / smell or other perfumed items.
If you haven't gotten my items in a reasonable amount of time, please contact me so we can figure something out! I usually take photos of the envelopes/boxes and contents before I mail them to have proof that I actually completed them.
I mark my swaps as "sent" as soon as they are in the mailbox. However, if that is on a weekend or later in the day, then it might get the next day's stamp, because not all mailboxes are emptied on weekends or at night. What I mean to say is that since I usually don't hand in the mail to the post office, I can't really control the day they stamp it. I hope you understand! It's also good to remember that the swap-bot-time is keyed to the USA-time zones.
If you realize you can't meet the swap deadline, let me know before the deadline is over please. I understand life can sometimes delay you from sending for a few days, but you have to let me know, otherwise I will rate a 3.
Have fun swapping!

Thank you for angelling "One Person Per Country Touristy PC #7," where my partner to send me has been suspended. Your stamps are great and enjoy the church card.

Hi Caddi! Greetings from sunny Hawaii! I'm so happy to hear that you received the envelope I sent you for the "Adventures to the Traveling PC" Swap! How's the weather in Germany? Is it getting cold now that winter is nearing? Hopefully one day you'll be able to visit Hawaii! I work at a resort and we get a lot of visitors from Germany- they are always so sweet and friendly!!! Anyways, I hope you have a lovely week! ♥Cindi
Can't believe the postcard took all that time to arrive!!! Thanks for the update!
Welcome to the Student Society!
Yes, hopefully it won't get lost. Thanks for re-sending! :) Sorry it always takes a bit time to reply to my profile comments as I've turned the notifications off for those. Have a great week!
