I was recently introduced to swap-bot by two very special people & have been taken by surprise by how much fun it has already given me.
I am a wife, mother, step-mother & grandmother & I love to spend time with my family & friends. Loving occasions when the family are sat round the table together sharing a meal & probably some sort of board game afterwards, with chatter & banter filling the room!
A couple of things I enjoy are reading & genealogy & I have traced a lot of our family history back to the 1800s. I am learning to speak spanish as well as trying to learn how to crochet.
Reading is another hobby I enjoy and I have just been given Catcher in the Rye & To Kill A Mockingbird, two novels I have long wanted to read. I like all sorts of topics to read but have read a lot of John Grisham, Harlan Coben & Dan Brown. I also enjoy biographies/autobiographies
Some of the things I love are butterflies, buttons, sea shells, garden birds, Audrey Hepburn, flowers, Christmas, a cup of soya hot chocolate @ Costa, log fires, sunsets, chocolate & postage stamps.
I like most kinds of music & enjoy going to the theatre when the opportunity arises. My favourite stage show is Chicago. I wish Starlight Express would return to London for a long run.
Some of my favourite films are Love Actually, Notting Hill, The Blindside, Sleepless in Seattle, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia, Oliver & all Audrey Hepburn films especially My Fair Lady, Breakfast at Tiffany's & Sabrina. I do watch other genres of film but I particularly like happy ending, feel good factor, musically pleasing films.
One of my favourite quotes is "life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away".
I love Earl Grey tea & mellow coffee (fresh or instant). I also enjoy fruit, mint & green teas and, as there are probably loads I have never tried, I am prepared to try something different. I love chocolate. I prefer Fairtrade items where possible.
I hate bad manners, control freaks, marzipan, cruelty to animals or children.
I am looking forward to receiving plenty of snail mail, the prettier the better, & to finding plenty of penpals across the globe. The thing I most enjoy about swap-bot is getting nice letters that tell me about the person who is swapping with me. Regardless whether the swap asks for it, please include some information about yourself too.
If you don't receive a swap that I have sent please message me & I will resend.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to Swap-bot and thank you for joining Teas Around the World <3
Hi, Thanks for the tip! I wasn't expecting my letter to arrive so soon and when I realized this weekend that I had forgotten to put my profile name in the letter I wanted to send you an email, but decided to wait so as not to ruin the surprise of who your partner was :) Rookie mistake, huh? :) Thanks again!! - Mar
Great Wife, mother, step mother, gramsie & friend! Maybe one day a mother in Law too hehe ;)
