I'm a lifelong crocheter and a knitter of about ten years. I'd love to make things for you - just be aware that I'm a slow yarn worker and as a result I mostly make small things - cup cozies, small bags, some simpler amigurumi. Hats are the biggest projects I make. I'd love to receive yarn crafts myself, as most of my "rl" friends and family don't knit or crochet. I do zentangles and other kinds of doodles, and I'm just starting out with origami and ATCs. I love collages.
Fat, Agnostic, Feminist, Bisexual, Disabled Lifelong learner here. No overtly religious materials, please. Also please refrain from sending sizeist, sexist, homophobic, bi-erasing, ageist or ablist materials! I drink wine on occasion but never beer. I love dark chocolate and anything pumpkin- or ginger-flavored. I love trying different teas, hot chocolate mixes, and coffees. I'm allergic to mohair and lactose intolerant. Please don't send dairy-based stuff or mohair products. Having said that, if it's dairy but it's not a food product, or it's a food product in which the dairy is more than four or five items down in a long ingredient list, it's fine. I'm in college full time, studying literature and culture. I'm headed for library school after undergrad, so I'll be living the student life for at least the next three years. I appreciate study snacks, caffeinated beverages of all kinds, and whatever else you might associate with classes/college/dorm life.
I'm a fangirl. I read/watch/listen to a lot of science fiction, fantasy, and steampunk. I love Shakespeare and Jane Austen. Buttons etc. with quotes from the above, or Buffy, Firefly, Princess Bride, Harry Potter, etc. will warm my nerdy heart. I'm not up to date on Doctor Who but Nine is my Doctor (Four is runner-up) and I have always coveted a Dalek t-shirt. I love steampunk, but I don't do corsets and the proliferation of moustache motifs is lost on me. I much prefer the keys-gears-and-goggles part of the steampunk aesthetic. I adore the TV show "NUMB3RS" and I have a tie for favorite movie between the recent Star Trek reboot and X-Men First Class. I'm also the other kind of geek. I worked in IT for ten years before I came back to school. love my laptop, my tablet, working with all sorts of electronic devices and most especially the best toy ever: the internet.
I collect leaves and items with leaves on them. (Any type of leaf is appreciated, but maple leaves are my favorite. Of those, even more favored are autumn-colored ones.) Of late I am fascinated by honeybees. I tend toward either photographic images of bees or vintage-style honey/sepia colors in bee-stuff. I don't like cartoon-style bee stuff or the color yellow. I'm addicted to school- and office supplies, and stationery. I stay away from pencils and ball points, but gel pens and fountain pens are awesome. I will never have enough PCs, Notecards, and notebooks.Everything from letterpress to asian kawaii to funky postcards, if it's for my desk it makes me happy. I only have one rubber stamp. This is sad. If you have stamps to get rid of that fit any of my themes/ collections/motifs, I would consider them awesome gifts. I collect fountain pens and ink. I am willing to swap ink samples! :)
Purples are my current favorite, they're being used to decorate my bedroom; I especially love plum or aubergine shades. I also love autumn leaf colors, rich greens, teal, deep pomegranate red and chocolate brown. Jewel-tone blues are fine accompanying green, teal, or purple, but they are not favorites on their own. I like most neutrals, too, but I tend to avoid white textiles because I love ink and it does not love white fabric/yarn! I don't enjoy pastels and I actively dislike most dusty blues and bright "sunny" yellow. (Paler colors are more acceptable on paper products than, say, yarn.)

That last message should have said JUST WONDERING IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED
Just received the 2nd Q& A note card I sent in March? The first mail, I wrote the address exactly as written on Swap-Bot, only to have it returned with a label saying "No address exists"
Hello, Hoping all is well with you...waiting on your Bat Pinterest swap. Let me know!
Hello,
I was wondering if you received my e-mail for the Bat Pinterest swap to you I sent on March 15. So far I haven't received a rating from you. Did you receive it? If so, would you be so kind to rate me? If you somehow didnt receive it, please let me know so I can resend it.
Waiting for your reply.
Passing by for the 'read profile-write comment' swap. I love gelpens and fountain pens too, can you ever have enough of those ones? Just like postcards nad notecards...getting addicted to them. Just bought one lot of more than 1000 postcards: they'll arrive at the end of this week. Can't wait to check them out :) I have a lots of stamps and love to use them when I'm writing. Most of them are clear stamps because of the storage problem with wooden stamps. If you like to recieve clear stamps on a certain theme we can discuss for setting up a private swap. Have a nice day!
I love crocheting as well. Learning to knit but no one around me so far knows how :( I can't eat dairy either, have you found a substitute for cheese and yogurt? I'm currently searching for them, soy doesn't taste as good. I love your about me! Straight forward and honest. I tired looking at your Raveley page but it doesn't work. :( would love to see the things you make. :) until next time
