Hello! I'm Melly, 37 years old. I live in a small village near Frankfurt/Main (in the middle of Germany) together with my husband and our daughter.

Whenever possible I try to be outside, hiking, Geocaching, cycling, canoeing or just enjoying nature and the fresh air.

I also like to do all kinds of handicrafts, especially cross stitch at the moment.

I love getting postcards from all around the world, especially if they show the beauty of the nature (forests, paths, lakes, rivers, mountains, etc.) in your region/country as I love to be outdoors. But this is just a suggestion, of cours all other real postcards will be perfect too, as long as they are sent with love.

I like the typical tourist single view postcards if possible, WITHOUT an envelope, written and stamped. It would be great if the postcard shows something from your country. Cards showing the Pyramids in Egypt are great but not if they are sent from the US ;)

My current (long term) aim is to get a postcard from every country in the world. There are lots of countries to go but I'm on my way.

When I was a teenager I used to read a lot. Nowadays there's less time left besides working and being a mum, but if I find the time I like to read Thriller, Romance or Adventure books. These are the top 3 books I would call my "all time favourites":

1.) Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Madson (currently re-reading, I LOVE it)

2.) Love Virtually by Daniel Glattauer

3.) Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross

I'm always looking for new must-read suggestions.

In my spare time I also like to watch TV series. My all time favourites I watch several times are Gilmore Girls, Castle, Grey's Anatomy and Outlander.
