I'm a 22-year old art major in Texas. I just graduated with my associate in applied science degree in graphic design. I currently work as a cake decorator in a small bakery. I tend to be a bit of a homebody, and can usually be found sitting in my living room reading, writing letters, or doing something artsy. I love to travel, I've been to Germany twice and now have my eye on Italy. I'm a big geek-- I love to play video games and read about science. Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku, Alex Filippenko, Richard Feynman, and of course Albert Einstein are my science heroes. I hate conflict and I'm constantly fighting the temper I inherited from my father so I can be more zen.
Jason Mraz, Jason Mraz, Jason Mraz... Nine Inch Nails, Lisa Hannigan, Bon Iver, Flogging Molly, Michael Buble, The Killers, James Blunt, The Postal Service, Maroon 5, Sinatra, Weezer, almost anything Jazzy or Bluesy.
Green Street Hooligans, The Lord of the Rings, The Italian Job, Pirates of the Caribbean, anything with Johnny Depp! A new favorite is Juno. I highly recommend it. I always love Jackie Chan or Jet Li movies, and I especially love Forbidden Kingdom (which stars both!). I've been buying a bunch of the older Disney cartoons (Little Mermaid, Aristocats, Sword in the Stone) so that when I have kids, they'll know there's an alternative to Hannah Montana and all of these computer animated movies.
Naruto(Japanese), Deadliest Catch, The Office(British), King of the Hill, The Real Housewives of Orange County/Atlanta/New Jersey (guilty pleasure), The Universe, Tough Love/Couples
Art journals, especially Moleskines. That will be my art crack for 2010. Painting (mostly in acrylics), ATCs, paper-cloth and collage.
My favorite color at the moment is yellow, but I also like deep blue, cerulean blue, bright orange, lime green and rich purples. I really like anything geeky or science related. I like ATCs that are heavy on typography, doodled, Asian, leaf or bird-themed, elephants, and cards that have thick bases (I don't know why, but I loooove thick ATCs). A new interest of mine is steampunk. I love Russian matyroshka/babushka dolls (nesting dolls). I don't want crosses, angels, or anything religious, please. Please note that I don't give hearts for little scraps of paper and stickers. I give hearts for excellent work or if the extra is something specific to my profile. I don't mean to be rude, but I feel people are just fishing for a heart when they send a tiny piece of scrap paper and a mediocre piece of art.

Please just send on the journals that don't belong to you from RR#2! It is unfair to those of us who played nice.
I have cancelled our year long swap since you haven't logged in for 2 months and already owe lots of journals going back to June.
I'm getting really concerned about you. I've tried every communication going to get a message to you. I'm not going to post the 365 until I hear from you. You haven't logged in forever and people in the round robins want their journals back. Please get in touch.
Hello, I hope you are fine but I want to get some update what you are planning to do with my journal, I have pm:d and emailed but you have not replied. If you do not have time to contribute to the journal, you should just send it on, but you can not keep other peoples artwork and refuse to communicate. If you just send the book back to me I will rate everybody in the swap a 5 and give hearts.
Have you received the mini art journal?
I was looking at your journals on your flickr... so inspiring! Do you have a livejournal?
Thanks you so much for an amazing package of gorgeous things - the alphabet stamps are amazing and I love the book and will listen to Jason Mraz tonight :-)
Happy Holidays!
