I'm currently home for the summer and looking for ways to fill my time with ART! I want to focus on handmade postcards and love hand lettering and watercolor. I am currently undeclared at MCAD, but deciding between Illustration and Painting & Drawing. I love working in pen and watercolor, using patterns. • Reading blogs is definitely my main hobby. I love to read about cooking and crafts/home decor. My favorites are Elise Blaha, Kath Eats Real Food, and Top with Cinnamon.
• Running, weight lifting, yoga, and zumba. I love being active and pushing my limits. I go on long runs with my mom on Saturdays and am currently training for a 10k!
• Cooking and baking. I focus on veggie-heavy dishes, but also love dessert! I love an occasion to try out a new recipe.
• Filling my living space with plants. It's a problem. We aren't allowed any type of pets in our dorms (not even fish...) so I've taken to collecting plants.
• Watching way too much YouTube. Kind of obsessed with the Shaytards and the entire Butler family.

My favorite artists are listed below, but I also tend to fall for trashy pop songs and weird songs from YouTube (i.e. Friday by Rebecca Black, Can't Hug Every Cat, etc)

I was involved in lit club last school year, but I don't know a whole lot about classic lit and have not made much of a dent in my reading list! However, I love to talk books and get recommendations!

Unfortunately, I haven't been reading much because of school, but here are some of my favorite books form the past.

• Harry Potter (JK Rowling)
• The Poisonwood Bible (Barbara Kingsolver)
• The Bell Jar (Sylvia Plath)

I definitely don't watch much of either of these things. I don't have TV at school, so YouTube is my main source of background noise. I can't just sit down and watch TV or a movie, I'm almost always doing something else too.
However, I'm a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan. I discovered the show via my friend when I was 15 and my parents and I plowed through all 7 seasons in a few months. I haven't found another show that captured my attention (and heart) int he same way. When I am home we have only basic channels, but my first choice is the Food Network when I am somewhere with Dish, etc.
