please can you explain what a notepad is? i don´t know the exactly meaning... - btw do you mean the whole notepad or just a page? :)

A notepad is the full pad,with anywhere between 30-100 (your choice) pages. It can be lined or blank.

Hi can we send stationary set as well?

You are allowed to send extras as long as the above requirements are met.I'm sure people will love extra things to write on.After all we all have to write notes about ourselves and OOOPS I left that part out!

This will be fun...Just a warning: some countrys won't let you send candy...I learned that the hard way! They will, but you have to fill out a special paper at the post office stating what is inside, and how much it is worth. Just a heads up!

What you mean with little note? It has to be a letter about us, just a card?

I realized that are pretty much profiles without many information, they are quite short, so if I get a partner with one like that I am free to pick my items freely, right? Sorry all this questions, I am really new with this and I want to do my best.

Don't worry about asking questions. This is part of my responsibility as host is to go through and tell people to fill out their profiles. You can even email them if you are really unsure. But if profiles are really bare, I can tell people to beef them up. If they don't by the deadline's date, I'll have to let them go from the swap. All this is done before I hit the "assign " button. Do your best, but the most important thing is to pick items that are of good quality adn that you would like to receive.

What is a stationary? I see it in many swaps, i tried to translate it online, but that did not work. So what is it?

@mamavan The problem with translation is probably the result of a very common spelling error! There are two English words that sound exactly the same, but their meanings are different:

• stationary (with an 'a') means still or in one place and not moving.

• stationery (with an 'e') sometimes means letter writing paper. It also has a more general meaning: writing supplies, paper, notepads, pencils, envelopes, memo pads etc.

There are a lot of profiles here and I have given some people Sunday night to respond to an email I sent Friday. Some haven't logged in since joining and others have no profiles at all.I will assign by Sunday night;everyone who hasn't answered me by 8:00 Sunday will be banned off the swap.

I am doing this so everyone has a fair shake, but also to make sure I can eliminate problems before they arise.

So, who people who didn't get the e-mail it's okay, it means they have profiles good enough and they are in.

I agree with what you are doing. I have been during this day seeing some profiles and some really only are available to see because they don't contain much to read, I was quite afraid to in my very first swap to send something to someone who will never send me back... I know it can happen someday but I was pretty happy to do this swap :)

Yes.the people who I did not email are OK. Some people like @BlueDaisy were swamped at work but never go time to log in for over a week. Some people just genuinely have a tough time talking about themselves.

Partners are all assigned. We had to wait a bit because of the fact that there was a returning person who was permanently banned from Swapbot who was hiding under another ID. Some observant fellow swappers and Rachel our co-ordinator and Swapbot guardian have ferreted out this person. Anyone who has not signed in recently has been removed as well as anyone with no or badly done profiles. Have fun you guys and look forward to doing more of these.

i have a question, can i send something else for a "sweet surprise" instead of food? I dont feel comfortable sending food overseas, i bought something really cute and it goes with the theme of my partner's profile too. If i have to send candy, i will, i just wanted to make sure.

I have to send any message before send my package to my partner? saying "hello" or anything else?

@ellipse you just send a pm to your partner if you have questions about what they like, etc. Otherwise any note or letter in with the package you are sending out to your partner has to be included in with that package as part of the requirements. When you send your package out you just click "sent" on the top box of the swap off to the right in yellow (this also has who you send to, etc.) @glittergothgurl above in the posts between @ellipse and @stardustfalling host says should be a food item, just not chocolate as its getting warm. If your partner doesn't list if they like sweet vs. sour or candy types in their profile, you can pm them to check with them for sure. Your partner will be listed when you click on the "see the partner you send to" option on the top (to the right) of the swap page in the yellow box. Hope that helps.

"pm" means private message I think.

Why I am into this swap and already sent my items and my "Currently in" still appears like if I was into any swap?

@ellipse, click on 'click here when you have sent your items' on the top right. The swap will then be shown in your 'sent' part of your dashboard and not 'currently in' :)

@IceDragon I also took some days because I was thinking what to send... I'm a pen pal... and I guess I am a little manic know because of lost letters, packages, and of people who stop writing. :D

I'm still putting together. I have the stuff and now finishing my ahem note...(more like a letter.) I worry over packages making it too. But so far, knocks on laptop gently, I haven't had any here got lost. Glad to see you gals are so excited.

I don't understand? I clicked I sent the package weeks ago and today when I checked it said I did not send it. Which means to my swap buddy that I'm late when I really sent my items on time.
