Description:

Attention all of you crafty mamas and grandmas! Here is a swap for you! Well...actually for your (grand)kids! Your challenge is to create a package for 1 partner containing items for their little one(s). When you sign up, please list below your children's names, boy or girl, and age.. If you would like additional information send a PM. This swap is for babies, toddlers and schoolagers. The items must be made - no store bought. Ideas might include: felt food, bibs, stuffies, jazzed up notebooks, hair bows, tutus, magic rocks, felt crowns....there are THOUSANDS OF POSSIBILITIES! You have plenty of time to create - the send out date is for Sept. 30. I am making this a 'point swap'. You must send out 6 points. Here is how the points break down:

1 point - small item (takes about 1 hour or less) (around $5 spent) 2 points - medium item (takes about 2 hours or less) (around $10 spent) 3 points - large item (takes about 3 hours or more) (around $15 spent)

So to achieve your full 6 points you could send out 2 large items, 1 large item 1 medium and 1 small, 3 medium items...This way everyone should get about the same amount of items! I would estimate the price of this swap at $30? (I'm so bad at pricing things! Swaps, crafts for sale, whatever it is I can't price!)

Boring stuff - Since I am a newbie, this is open to newbies with filled out profiles. BUT THIS IS FOR THE CHILDREN....DON'T FLAKE ON THE KIDS!!!!!!!! Just think of how upset your child would be! Please be kind when you rate...just rate on the amount of love that went into the projects!

would I be able to join this? I am only 2 months pregnant... this is my first baby.

pls message me and let me know :) i'd really love to join in on this, as I'm sooo excited about my baby!

In my humble opinion....pregnant would be fine. One can always make things for new babies that arent gender specific. And if you're crafty enough to want to make things for your own nursery, etc... a perfect time to simply make 2 instead of one ( smaller items, of course) I'm ok with making things for any age group as I know a lot of 'little people' in which to test my ideas, lol.

Congrats!! Oh yea pregnant is fine! Bibs and blankets and booties - oh my! :) So many choices! I hope you join my swap! This is my first time hosting! It will be fun! :)

I suppose I should answer the questions on my own swap! :) I have a little boy, named Joshua. He is 6. And he absolutely ROCKS! :)

This is a wonderful swap...and making creative things for others always lets me think of fun new things I could make for my little ones. I have 2 girls: 5 and 3. They definitely have an eye for the unique and love standing out in the crowd with their unique outfits (usually my doing). Apart from clothes and toys, they love to do projects on their little project table...so a small creative project kit would be great as well! Can't wait to get my partner and get started!

Hi! I have two girls ages 7 and 3. They love all kinds of things and especially getting mail. You read more about both of them on my profile. I am so excited about this swap.

Rejoicing 08/10/2009 #

I have an 11 yo Boy and a 6 yo girl, but they have SO MUCH! LOL! So I'd really like to do this swap for my baby boy due in December! I could desperately use any baby boy things! We don't have any left from the first one! :)

BarefootGypsy 08/10/2009 #

Hello! So excited to participate in this swap! I hope I get someone with a baby, but I'll do it up nice for the bigger kids too! I have lots of ideas already.

My info: I am currently due any day now with a baby boy. I have one 4 year old daughter. You could send anything you had in mind for the baby: nookies, burp cloths, whatever you can think of, I'm sure we could use it.

As for my daughter... she loves girly things, beaded jewelry, coloring, ponies.. as well as also really loving "boyish" stuff like dinosaurs and dragons. LOL Honestly, she would just be excited to get a package in the mail, no matter what was in there.

I have a question, since this is a "points" swap. Do we do 6 points per CHILD or 6 points per package??

amandaandandy 08/12/2009 #

6 points per package! Great question! I should have specified! Thanks!

Rejoicing 08/12/2009 #

Can't wait to see who my partner is going to be so I can get started!

BarefootGypsy 08/12/2009 #

Ditto Rejoicing!

amandaandandy 08/13/2009 #

Thanks for posting the message Rejoicing! This is my first time hosting a swap - I thought it just did partner assignment automatically! But I assigned partners so go ahead and get crafting! Thanks to all who signed up! :)

Cindalu 08/13/2009 #

Yea!!! I am so excited. Now to decide what to do.

imlilanglnot 09/15/2009 #

Just thought I'd drop by and mention how much fun I'm having with this swap :) Postage is going to kill me, but that's okay.
