Description:

I decided to stop doing most craft swaps. So I will be giving away my stash on a monthly basis to the person that I am partnered with. The only person who will be sending anything is me. I will be sending out a large flat rate box (or small and medium flat rate boxes), whichever I have available. It will contain random items so if you are fussy, this isn't the swap for you. I'm not sure how many more I will be doing. I will need to figure that out monthly depending on how much more stuff I have left, as I did this last year as well.

I have made this swap USA, due to cost. I hope everyone understands.

Each month I will assign a different question that you need to answer underneath the swap. I would recommend that you answer it when you sign-up so that you don't forget.

This month's question is Do you have any plans for St. Patrick's Day? What are they?

Be sure to rate your partner.

Good luck everyone.

I already started writing out my St. Patrick's Day cards for the year. On St. Patrick's Day, I plan to enjoy a nice corn beef and cabbage dinner with my son Billy.

getanzt 02/28/2022 #

I do not have any St. Patrick's Day plans other than making sure I am wearing some green! Never been a fan of the traditional corn beef and cabbage, nor do I drink much, so for the most part it will be like any other day for me.

Cindymt 02/28/2022 #

I do not have any St. Patrick's Day plans. It is a Thursday so I will be working. But I will not be too surprised if my work wants us to wear green that day! I work with preschool students so if they are aware of the traditions, I may be a huge target for pinching if I do not wear green!

mizzrox 02/28/2022 #

No, no St Pats day plans. Will be sure and wear green, plus I love corn beef and cabbage, so that will be for dinner.

lyssathemermaid 02/28/2022 #

My hubby will be on military training out of state, so im not sure what ill do! Id like to still cook something festive; and ill be sure to call my family back home :-)

AZmom875 03/ 1/2022 #

Oh yes wearing green is something important that I often forget.

I love to make corned beef and cabbage in the crock pot. It goes on sale at that time, and often the week after they clearance it out. It is salty, but delicious.

I have this silly head band, that I got in a swap last year, and a scarf. I don't go out to drink green beer, so I might not really get dressed up this year.

DeboraCreates 03/ 1/2022 #

Hi, I don't have any St Patrick's day plans this year, and don't usually celebrate. My mom used to make corned beef and cabbage , when she was alive, but I never liked it so don't partake in that tradition. A nice neighbor usually bakes Irish Soda Bread and gives us some. :-)

JKartstuff 03/ 1/2022 #

We don't really celebrate St. Patrick's Day. My kids and I try to wear green if we remember, but that's about it. We have court that day regarding our foster baby, but attending that is my only plans.

tiaretehina 03/ 1/2022 #

Hello,

This year, we will be going to the St Patrick's Day parade in New Orleans' Irish Channel. We do crafts with my 9yo son and learn fun facts about Ireland. I love Irish Soda Bread but don't know how to make it so maybe we'll learn that this year!

funstuff 03/ 1/2022 #

I will wear some green. And will cook some corn beef. I’m not fond of cooked cabbage so will not use that. We don’t go out as there is work and school the next day. I also send out cards

SarahMascara 03/ 1/2022 #

I haven't made plans yet for St. Patrick's Day, but my husband's name is Patrick, and he's Irish, so we'll definitely do something a little special.

jinxspinx 03/ 1/2022 #

Im thinking I will celebrate at home with cooked cabbage. I have never cooked corned beef though. Ill have to look up other recipes I can make :) I know Ill def be wearing green - as its my favorite color anyways!

I may end up going to see Chicago's green river that they do every year. :D Ive never gotten to see it.

BobaBarb 03/ 1/2022 #

this year st patty's falls on Purim so I will be dressing up and going to a party

AliCrafter 03/ 1/2022 #

My birthday is the 16th so it's kind of a double whammy! Wearing green and listening to my favorite Irish pub songs!

fiennesgirl 03/ 1/2022 #

I don’t have any plans for St. Paddy’s Day, but wish I was back in Ireland having some Guinness stew! Yum! Corned beef is a big nope for me! I do try to wear something green!

mamajoy 03/ 2/2022 #

I will try to find a restaurant serving corned beef sandwiches that I can take out. And.......wear green! After all, everyone's Irish on St Patrick's day.

QuinGem 03/ 2/2022 #

Yes! I am setting up a table at the St. Patrick's Day parade in the town next to mine. It will be the first time I do this. I will have a few crafts for sale, as well as some other items ... possibly a few baked goods, too.

thebragal 03/ 2/2022 #

I have a USA addy. Our family doesn’t do anything for St Patricks day. Boring I know. But I will be thrilled if the weather is decent by then. My doggie has gained a bit of weight because I can’t take her out in the winter and the fam hasn’t been so helpful.

NaitomeaMinx 03/ 2/2022 #

I don't really have plans this year (as I'm still quite afraid to be in crowds or public spaces), but will still will make corn beef on rye and watch the parade on TV to relax.

beenebag 03/ 3/2022 #

No plans yet. Just taking baby steps to get back into the swing of things. Need to get comfortable being in public with a mask on, let alone unmasked:) 2020 I was dealing with cancer and now that's behind me...really don't want to get sick with covid. Will be so glad when it's warmer and can do things with friends/family outdoors. Anyway...thank you so much for offering up some destash goodies...what a fun way to do some purging:) Take care. And happy st. patties. Maybe I'll venture out and get a shamrock shake from Mickey D's....wait, do they still do that. or just buy a pint of mint chocolate chip to celebrate!

HausOfImps 03/ 3/2022 #

No plans for St Patrick's Day. My family usually has corned beef and cabbage, but I've never really liked it, or cared much for the celebrations. I do like the opportunity to see my family, but they're all so stressed with various things this year that it's just not happening. My partner just started a new job on the 1st and I got accepted into college right before that, so we're kinda just planning to celebrate those things on the weekends. There's a Central Asian bakery that opened here recently that we're hoping to check out. We also want to go thrifting. Thanks so much for hosting this swap btw!

Burger1girl 03/ 3/2022 #

I live near Savannah Georgia. We are the second biggest city to hold such a long and fun parade. Fountains are turned green. Everyone gets a chair, sets up to sit for a few hours. Get some beer, food and paint yourself green!! Goes on for a long wkend. You should try to make it here one day. We are a Irish city, Welcome!!!

Butterfly1974 03/ 4/2022 #

Our family always has corned beef, cabbage with potatoes and carrots on St Patrick’s Day. My middle son loves it so much that I typically buy 3-4 corned beef to freeze for later. If you cook it long enough it will be more tender and makes great sandwiches on rye bread the next day.

SatisHuman 03/ 4/2022 #

I don't have plans yet, but since it is in the middle of the month there is a good chance there will be basketball on for March Madness. And watching basketball is what I will be doing.

ultracinematik 03/ 5/2022 #

This year, St Patrick's day will be my first year not having my sweet girl Lu (cat) here to celebrate her birthday. I was witness to her birth on St Patrick's day 2009, and we said goodbye this past December. I always told her people wore green to celebrate her gorgeous eyes. My mom and I are taking dinner to an elderly couple that day, and tomorrow I'm writing out my shamrock cards to a dozen seniors I send to monthly. ☘️

Poohtat 03/ 5/2022 #

I don't really do anything other than make sure I wear something green. I will try to pop into the local grocery store as there are always people that like to dress up with clover makeup and hats. It is fun to see.

chimerix 03/ 5/2022 #

I'll be sure to pull out my orange t-shirt for work, but other than that, we'll likely stick close to home. Aloha

tishttr1 03/ 5/2022 #

Corned Beef, Cabbage, and Red Potatoes. Soda Bread and Irish Potatoes!!! YUM😋 I'm not Irish but on St. Patrick's Day, I am because everyone is IRISH on St. Patrick's Day 😀

crochetjunkie 03/ 6/2022 #

No, I don’t have plans for St Patty’s. I’ll probably get little goodie bags put together for my young grand-nieces and grand- nephews who’s mommies have special outfits picked for them to wear that day. Aiden (2 yrs) and Calvin (2 1/2 months)’s mommies like to make them match and Ellie (14 months) normally gets a pretty frilly dress to wear.

AshleyA 03/ 6/2022 #

No plans yet. My husband and I usually try to find a local pub to enjoy bangers and mash.

aero 03/ 6/2022 #

My niece was born on St.Patrics day. She will be 7 this year, for the past 4 year I've made here a small green basket with all kinds of green small gifts. So that's something that I'm looking forward to. 🍀

bpl76 03/ 7/2022 #

I am trying different types of beer this year dont like it but maybe i will find one that does not taste bad other then that nothing much but dont forget to wear GREEN !!!

bordercolliemom59 03/ 7/2022 #

yes I do . Our downtown has a big parade and we go every year and they really do try to make it a family event so no alcohol is allowed . We also go find some place to eat after the parade .

Begokschaf 03/ 7/2022 #

For St Patrick’s Day I usually make corned beef hash because it’s a good compromise. Only a couple of us would eat cabbage. We wear a little green too. I used to feed my kids green foods with green dishes when they were young.

Burger1girl 03/ 7/2022 #

I live near Savannah Georgia, the second biggest St Patricks Day Parade!! The whole is packed full of hotels, bars and stores!! People from everywhere come and enjoy and our small business's greatly appreciate the revenue. we have a fountain where we change the color green, well, everything is green!!!LOL A great fun wkend for all.

Mlhadder 03/ 7/2022 #

The only plans I have are to work and then maybe go out to our local Irish Pub for some fish and chips!

sweetgypsy 03/ 8/2022 #

No plans here. We never really do anything for St. Patrick's day. But, my husband's name is Patrick.

addieixmarie 03/ 8/2022 #

I don't have any plans for St. Patricks Day yet! I am super excited for the day after though because I am going to see one of my favorite bands in concert!

lilmissthrifty 03/ 8/2022 #

We will be heading to a local St. Paddy's day parade and definitely eating some corn beef and cabbage.

user6937 03/ 8/2022 #

Not signing up since I'm CDN but just wanted to chime in. I don't drink green beer, it's too weird, but I'll have a regular old Canadian Molson - BUT, I'm going to Ireland!! In May, but I'd bet it'd be awesome to go on the DAY. Happy St. Paddy's, everyone.

katjl 03/ 9/2022 #

I will be wearing my green shirt and making corned beef and cabbage! I look forward to eating that ! 😋

BeHappyToday 03/ 9/2022 #

I will be wearing festive & green. Hubby and I will enjoy corned beef & sweet kraut sandwiches with thousand island dressing. We might attend the local pub here for the 1st time … depending on how busy it is.

Cgscdy 03/10/2022 #

My kids and I usually try and cook an all green meal. Haven't planned it yet but sure we will br doing it again this year

Chechel2 03/10/2022 #

No plans, but work. I am red headed and will definitely be wearing green! I plan to at least make a Shepherds Pie that evening for dinner. 😁

ScrapHappyGabi 03/10/2022 #

We always spent St. Patrick's Day at my Irish Grandmother's house. She cooked Corned Beef and Cabbage, boiled and seasoned potatoes and Irish Soda Bread! It was always such a fun day and one I recall fondly! Now a days we celebrate similarly but at my house :) Corned Beef and Cabbage, Potatoes, Irish Soda Bread and Irish Coffee for dessert! Happy St. Patrick's Day to all who celebrate! xx

Wingy 03/10/2022 #

Well as of right now I don’t have any plans but you never know what happens at the last minute. I’ll look for a local mom n pop restaurant to see what they’re selling.

montigneyrules 03/10/2022 #

A comedy show, a beer & donuts pairing, an Irish concert, and lots of brisket!

Sonya 03/10/2022 #

Hi Yvonne, I'm hoping you find other craft interests to take the place of swaps and thank you for being so thoughtful in your sharing with others. I'm at an art retreat in Portland, OR taking "BadAss Abstracts" and will wear green as I always do!

SoulKissed 03/11/2022 #

It's my brother's birthday on St. Patty's day, so my only plan is to call and wish him Happy Birthday. The hubby and I usually stay home, however, I always make sure I wear my green on that day. I don't want to get pinched. LOL

grammypammy 03/11/2022 #

I'm part Irish and celebrate the day by wearing green of course and incorporate green into the day by cooking something green, making crafts that are green and donating money (which is green) to a local charity.

justmesks 03/11/2022 #

I plan to cook cabbage and corn beef. We love it. I will also be sending lots of cards, postcards and letters. Thanks for sharing your "goodies" with others. It's always fun to see what others have/use for their crafts/hobbies. During the past two years of the Covid pandemic I used up a lot of my "Stash".

feverfawn 03/11/2022 #

I typically don't do much to celebrate St. Patrick's day other than wearing green (which is my favorite color so much of my wardrobe consists of shades of green!) Sometimes my family would go to an Irish pub in town that usually has some sort of celebration going on for the holiday, though I don't know if we will this year. Thanks for hosting this nice giveaway swap!

Flamingoloon 03/11/2022 #

When I lived further north, I loved St. Patrick's Day because it meant that spring and sunny, warm weather wasn't far behind. I also loved the stories of leprechauns and when I was small would go into the woods to search for them. Never did find one. Now, I don't feel that winter is so difficult to get through (SAD issues) but I do like to make corned beef and potatoes on the day. No cabbage since my DH dislikes it. And I do wear green, although I wear green a lot every day. I found it interesting that in my kids school, a person can be pinched for not wearing green on St. Patrick's. New to me.

young46356 03/12/2022 #

We always have corned beef and cabbage for St Pat day as some of us have some Irish ancestry. Otherwise not so much. The Chicago St Pat parade is this weekend so we will watch that. I'll have to check which day it is (Saturday or Sunday). Happy St Patrick's Day to All!

platypodes 03/12/2022 #

No plans this year, as I've been mad busy! But my roommate and I might try to make a few Irish themed foods and cocktails. I know a good recipe for a hot buttered rum.

swapper02 03/12/2022 #

It is spring break in Florida and I will have my kids. It is my dad's birthday on the 15th and my mom's 70th birthday on the 19th so we will be celebrating them and st. Patricks day. Today was the local parade, street party and then concert tonight but it's pouring and we are in a tornado watch.

laurenmarie323 03/12/2022 #

I don’t have any plans for St. Patrick’s this year. Probably will be with family and enjoying the warm spring weather!

ScrapHappyGabi 03/13/2022 #

My st Patrick's day plans are to stay home with my hubby and girls on Spring break :) we'll probably do a day trip someplace and get some good corned beef and cabbage, take some pics and enjoy the (Hopefully) Spring-like weather!!!

yvonne401 03/13/2022 #

Congrats to @Wingy who is our winner!

Wingy 03/14/2022 #

Omg thank you so much ;)

ginny19590 03/14/2022 #

I thought I had already left my comment when I first signed up but now I don't see if so if I'm signing it twice I guess it won't matter. Lol. I don't usually celebrate St Patricks Day, except I might wear something green, to avoid getting pinched. Green is one of my favorite colors anyway so it's not a problem. Happy St Patricks Day to Everyone!!!
