Creative Writers on: Earthrise

The Apollo 8 mission was the first crewed voyage to orbit the Moon. From the lunar orbit, on December 24, 1968, William Alison Anders shot the iconic image AS08-14-2383, which become famous under the title Earthrise .

Weave the Earthrise into the story you tell with your letter (minimum 1,500 words). Maybe you want to describe what you see in this image. Maybe you want to use it to tell about the history of space flight. Maybe you want to use it to philosophize about life in the universe. Maybe you want to use the theme to introduce yourself not only to a swap partner, but to a potential new pan pal. The choice is yours.
