Description:

I had such a great time with the last challenge I thought I'd try do do one every couple of months. I hope all of you who joined last month had as good of time at your sewing machine as I did!

Skill level is unimportant in this swap. Please try something new if you haven't done a zipper try it or snaps or whatever pushes your skill level. You don't have to worry about partner preferences or extras unless you want to. This is really about making something you are proud of and sharing it with someone else.

I've joined every FQ swap and played every FQ game now it's time to sew some up!

OK rules are going to be changed a bit this time.

  1. Sew something for your partner. You must use at least 2 FQs but no more than 5, each one must be different.

  2. A solid color fabric can be used for lining, backing or anything important to the project but not part of the design.

  3. Embellishment is encouraged. Buttons, ric rac, ribbon, glued on sea shells etc. any media you like to use. But don't forget this is a sewing challenge.

  4. If you would send me a picture of finished project I would love it. I'm planning to send them to one of the sewing magazines.

  5. NO Dotees. There are lots of other swaps for that. That does not mean you can't do art dolls if you want.

Again there are lots of tutorials on the web for inspiration. GO FOR IT GIRLS.

I think you mean that a Fat Quarter is half a yard of fabric cut in half, which equals about 18" x 23" :-)

Hey here in the landdownunder a fat 1/4 is 20 x 22" 'cos we're metric and buy by the metre. Aren't you guys lucky? Extra inches mmmmm.........lol

Not sure if I'll be able to join this swap or not... Just wanted to let you know, though: sewmamasew.com is featuring projects made from FQs all this month, so there's plenty of inspiration over there if you need it!
