I love getting a lot of mail, so this is a super-easy, super-cheap way to exchange lots of mail. It seems everyone had lots of fun last time, so let’s do it again! This is an international swap. Guidelines: Each of your packages should be small and light enough to be sent by regular letter-post (a lot of us – including me – didn’t entirely succeed at this last time. That’s no problem; it’s a goal, not a rule.). You will be sending one item to each of your five partners. Choose one item from each of the following categories. Remember: one item to each person. Tell your partner which category their item belongs to. Categories: 1. Something orange. 2. Something whimsical. 3. Something odd. 4. Something sweet. 5. Something cosmic. The items can be found items or things you already own. All items must be clean and usable. Remember, keep it light and keep it simple! Examples of good items: a magazine or newspaper article, a cartoon, a postcard, a note card, a button or bead, a piece of fancy paper, stickers, stamps, a piece of ribbon or fabric, a tea bag, temporary tattoos, a bookmark, a charm, a quote or joke (something non-offensive, of course), a photo… there are lots of possibilities. There's a quick turn-around because this is meant to be a really quick swap with minimal work and where we will suddenly all get a bunch of mail. If you’d like, post pictures of your 5 items before you mail them out to your different partners so we can see how you interpreted the categories – so don’t peek at the gallery if you want to be surprised! When it comes time to rate, remember that this is low-expectation swap. Your partner is under no obligation to choose something that suits your profile. As long as you receive something that isn’t garbage with a note about what category it belongs to, your partner gets a 5. And please keep in mind that this is an international swap, so some things will take a long time to arrive. I know Canada Post is taking two to three weeks to get things to me from the US; let's give each other a break and at least try to message each other before giving out "1" ratings. New swappers are welcome, but please read Swap-Bot’s FAQs before joining. Due to a problem with the last swap, anyone with a rating below 4.5 will be banned before the partners are assigned (though I will make exceptions for those I have talked to about having been pre-maturely rated in the last version of this swap). Anyone marked “not sent at the first version will be banned from this one before partners are assigned, so get mailing and click that button! Please let me know if you have any questions. |
