The first round of this swap was completed at the end of January.

Because it was still being tested out, I didn't make one for February, and was going to for March. Someone has March's covered already, so here it is for April.

This should give you guys plenty of time to sign up, ask me questions, and get familiarized.

This is a semi long-term secret admirer swap. It seems like everyone enjoyed it, so it's now going to be monthly, unless someone gets to it first.

  • You must have a completed profile filled out to participate in this swap.

  • This swap is international, no one is excluded.

  • No one with ratings under 4, please; newbies need to message me before joining because of what happened in January; and no one with more than 1 no-send. (If I ban you because of no sends, you can message me and talk to me about it)

  • You will have one swap partner.

  • There will be a total of four things to do during the month of April.

  • You cannot (if at all possible) reveal yourself to your partner until the last activity. If you suspect your partner will know who you are, email me, and you can use my address as a return address for your package.

  • Because of the "secret" nature of this swap, please try to remember to post here when you've received an item from your admirer.

How to play:

Week 1 (must be sent by April 6th): Easter is on Sunday - though not everyone celebrates it, I don't think bunnies and chicks are all that offensive. Send your partner a nice card with a small (less than $3.00) gift.

Ideas: a small chocolate bunny, a bag of chocolates, a lollipop - NOTHING religious.

Week 2 (must be sent by April 13th): Send your partner a postcard or notecard with one of your favorite things on it.

Ideas: lyrics, a quote, the title of a book - anything that you consider a favorite.

Week 3 (must be sent by April 20th): Send your partner something handmade - whatever your craft may be. If you want, this can hint toward who you are.

Ideas: An ATC, a crocheted pot holder, handmade bath items - anything you like doing.

Week 4 (must be sent by April 27th): End of swap - Reveal yourselves! Send your partner a small package ($10 or less) to pamper themselves with.

Ideas: Nice teas, chocolates, bath items - check their profiles to find out what they might like.

The "end date" for this swap is the day the very last item to your partner should be sent. Please follow the above guidelines for posting.

I think that should be everything you need to know. Because I've made this international, I've tried to keep postage costs in mind.

As with the last swap, I will be sending weekly swap-reminder emails - this way people can either mark the swap "sent" or "not sent" depending on their preferences, and either way they've got some guidelines.

I'm really so frustrated about that. It's one thing to be late - it's another to never send. I'm sorry that happened. Swapbot has changed the rules a bit now, and I will be able to "assign" partners - so I'll take that into consideration with this swap as well.

I don't know when to click 'sent' either! Muushuu said she was going to send weekly reminders so it'd be cool if she sent a spreadsheet to us each week (I'd be happy to make one for her, it's super easy) and we could just check the sent column on the spreadsheet for each week's activity and then hit the swap-bot 'sent' button at the end. It might help us all keep on top of everything, too. Just an idea! :O)

YAY, I rec'd my first item from my secret admirer all the way from Germany today (can't hide the postmark ;o)! It was a post card with a bunny on it and she made a little envie and taped it to the outside of the postcard so that it looks like the bunny is carrying it in his mouth, how clever! Inside the little envie was confetti and stickers. I'm all excited to have a pal in Germany!! Thanks for the great card!! :O)

got 2nd part and my daughter and i had to laugh - 1. the recipe for pork chops & apples is the ONE recipe she had chosen last year as soemthing for her to cook for dinner on nights when I am not home as #2. I do NOT eat pork!

BUT everyone here is drooling over the cookie recipe on the card & we may well be making them next week

I received both of my packages. Thanks so much! The first one I wasn't sure what it was for. I thought maybe I had joined a sock swap or finally got socks from the one I didn't get months ago. Then I figured it out. :-) Yesterday, I got a puzzle that I had to put together and it had my partners favorite things listed on it. It was cute. My 10 yr old son helped me put the puzzle together. I know the March Secret Pal swap had a fair share of flakers too. That is sad because this is such a long swap and definitely something we look forward to.

Oh PGK, I just got my package and it is great, unique, personal and very sweet! You put a lot of thought into it. My boys drank all the raspberry and orange tea already. We made a couple pitchers of iced tea. The flavors were new to us and YUMMY! I can see why you have a heart on all the swpas you have been in. :-)
