Description:

Let's all take a minute to think about our neighbors across the pond. This will be an ATC swap all about jolly old England. Think cute teapots, big ben, red double-decker busses and telephone booths, crowns, the tower bridge, the river Thames, and the Union Jack. You can go any direction in this swap. You could make an ATC about a favourite British author or actor. Try making one with a picture of a quaint cottage in the countryside. You could even have fun and incorporate Cockney rhyming slang into your ATC! Do whatever you want, as long as it's British! The ATCs will be the standard 2.5 by 3.5 inches. Each person will make 5 cards and send one to each of 5 partners. So, you'll send out five, and you'll get five back! You'll have about three weeks after the last day to sign up to make and send your ATCs. THIS SWAP IS OPEN TO INTERNATIONAL SWAPPERS! Have fun and enjoy!

Wow, whar a great idea! :-) I must say I'm a really huge fan of the british 70's show "The Profesionals". If my partners haven't got a clue what to put on my ATCs... lol

hmmm, never done an atc before, but thinking I may like to contribute to this swop especially as I am across the pond? Would that be ok, is this open to internationals...or will this give me an unfair disadvantage being British, lol! Mind you could put more pressure on! warm British wishes, Alex :-)

I'm a first timer to swat bot but would love to do a swap with you bods across both ponds - from me here in the colonial country, Australia! Madge

It is too costley for me to sent 5 ATC's to 5 different people(0,85 eurocents per ATC=app. 1 USA dollar)I don't mind sending 2 or 3 ATC's to 5 different people, so I will make the ATC's for myself because I like the theme very much and put them in my tradebook. I wish you all a lot of fun creating. groeten Francis from the Netherlands.

Of course this swap can be international! Alex, it would be really great to have someone from England in this swap! And Madge from Austrailia too! As for the unfair advantage, I think I can overlook it this one time. ;)

charlottenc 12/14/2006 #

bekka, thank you for the gorgeous card - every color and element goes perfectly together. I now have three cards from three different swappers and oddly enough, they go beautifully together, like a set!
