I have been thinking about this swap for a while now and really wanted to get it going. The inspiration came from the morning show of our local Christian radio station.

Here is what you do. Get a spiral notebook or a composition notebook at least 80 pages. In the journal you will write what the journal is for on the front. Feel free to decorate if you'd like. on the inside back cover write your address so it can be returned to you once it is filled.

************************EDIT********************************************** I will continue to host this swap so we can continue sharing journals until they are filled. This is only round one. I will host the 2nd round in Mid November or so that way you can move the journal on to the next person.

The goal is to encourage others with your stories of grace. For example, write about a time when you were reading and God spoke to you through his word.. or even through a situation or event. You can share the Bible verse that encouraged you or perhaps opened your eyes.

Write a short bio about yourself on the first page and then your story or experience on the next page or two. I don't want to create limits because while some may be able to write their experience in a few lines others may need a few pages. You also have the ability to decorate as you see fit. if you don't want to, you don't have to. I just thought it would be a nice touch for the person who received it back at the end of all of this. It's up to you though.

I have set the rating pretty high in order to join. If you don't meet the rating but want to join, please email me and we can discuss it. I'm all about second chances but also don't want someone to get flaked on. Only serious swappers apply. This is a long process and you have to be in it for the long haul.

I think this experience will be rewarding and a great source to turn to when perhaps things aren't going so well and you need a little boost. It's nice to know that we are not alone in this world and perhaps someone elses experience may help us through our own.

I have set it to not allow newbies based upon the level of this swap. It is nothing personal. I was new once as well.. still kind of am. If you are a newbie and serious about this swap, also message me and we can try to work it out. You will need a well filled out profile and no unexplained 3's or 1's.

so this will be ongoing until the books are filled...kind of like a round robin? Do you plan on doing these monthly or every couple of weeks???? great idea and definitely worth watching.

i'm really excited about this swap. i bought a journal today for it. i really like hearing other peoples stories about how God has worked in their life. i find it hard to share my own story though, so i'm hoping this will help push me to share more. i have seen God do amazing, powerful things but for some reason it's hard for me to share about my own life.

sorry for the lack of response. I am currently in school and last week was midterm week. it was a rough one. We will continue the journals until they are filled. I'm concerned though as there are only 3 swappers.

I guess I am confused (normal). If there are only three (thirteen) how are the books going to get finished? You only send it to one person, right? They write their story in it and mail it back to you? Or do they mail it to someone else??? Please un-confuse me... Thanks

Hi, Im a little confused too. I love this idea! So, what exactly do we do? Fill up the journal for our partner, or do we start it and then the partner finishes it...and then sends it back?

This is such a great idea, and so encouraging to whomever reads it. I'd like to understand, and I'd like to join!

i think the idea is that it will continue to be swapped to different partners until it is finished and it will be mailed back to the owner. like i think there will be a new swap created on here for each one. of course i don't know for sure because i'm not the creator, but i think that's what she means.

I am so sorry. I have not had the time to be here to address your questions. I apologize for being a bad hoster.... yes. we will continue to share the journals. After you fill tell your story then I will Host another Journal swap so we can move it to the next person. I'm sorry for being cryptic. It all worked out well in my mind..lol... I just didn't explain it well.. Please forgive me

so just to clarify... what are we suppose to put in our own journal? just the purpose for it? or do we write anything about ourselves in it? I want to make sure i do this right. i'm really excited about this swap.

We're supposed to put the purpose of it in the front, and our name and addy in the back. Then we're supposed to write about a time that we experienced God's grace. Then we send it to our partner. When she sets up the next swap, we then send the journal that we have at the moment to the next person. After we put our own story in it, of course. So then by the time our own journal makes it's way back to us, it will have many stories of grace to inspire us!
