By popular demand, here is Crazy Paper Dolls #3. If you have made one before, you know what to do. If you're new, here's how it works. You will make one paper doll for one partner by putting together images of head, torso and limbs cut from magazines, catalogs, flyers - any kind of junk mail. Try not to get too hung up on "That's not a head," or "those aren't legs." If they seem like legs, go ahead and use them. A fanned out set of lip-glosses works just fine as a skirt, as you can see from the photo. You're looking for shapes and proportion. The doll does not have to stand up, but it might be a good idea to reinforce it with cardboard or card stock - the paper quality for junk mail can be pretty flimsy. You will mail your doll flat in an envelope. This is an international swap. Please don't sign up if you aren't willing to spend the postage. These dolls are easy and fun to make - an hour spent with a stack of magazines and catalogs should furnish enough material for at least a couple of dolls! This swap is open to unrated new swappers. For the rest of you, high marks, please! |
