Quote/Poem/Word 4x 4 ½ chunky book pages. International Cardstock – at least 110 or index weight for base. Any medium – paint, paper, collage, drawing etc. Please do not use cardboard or chipboard for these pages. Cut your base 4 x 4 ½. Leave ½ on the left side clear of embellishments for binding. Some will not want the ½ for binding so it’s important that you don’t put anything essential to your work in that space. Some will cut it off; others who do not use rings for binding will also completely cover that space with binding material. Use a phrase, quote or single word on the page and work your page to include or represent your choice. You could also use a color as your theme. You are not required or expected to use profiles as your inspiration for this swap. Although some consider chunky to mean heavily embellished, for the sake of shipping I am not requiring heavy thick inclusions. Ribbon, lace, flat-ish buttons and charms, flat-sided beads or rhinestones ect. Will probably make more sense for this swap. Hosting and participating in group swaps is new to all of us. In the spirit of inclusion and assuming that people are here because they share an interest in making and sharing chunky pages all members are welcomed to join this swap. Should your ratings begin to slide or serious swapping issues come to light you may be dropped before partners are assigned. Per the comments in the forum I am setting this swap to 10 partners. If we don’t have that many join I will edit to lower the number to 1 less than the total number of swappers. You may make all your pages identical but they must be handmade and NOT photocopies. If there is any confusion about what this means please ask for clarification. If I have overstated or over explained anything in this swap, please forgive me. On one hand I assume that most of the above is known by most swappers in this group. On the other hand I don’t want to leave things unclear for those who may be newer or may have swapped with very different requirements. Since we don’t need to see profiles before starting work I’m setting a longer sign-up time, then a couple of weeks to finish and send them out. The swap can be edited with a few keystrokes so lets be open to discussion and adjustments if need be. |
