Response: I'm sorry you don't like the ornament... I've had a few people request a trade for one on Flickr! Actually, quite a lot of work went into that ornament, just so you might feel less jilted. I chose that image of Frida Kahlo, and in Photoshop selectively colored the image. Then, I printed them out on gloss cardstock, adhered each to colored Canson paper (a nice artist's paper), inserting the looped thread, then finally carefully cutting each ornament out -- this took some skill and time to do nicely, especially with the layered papers! Then, I assembled rubber stamp type to say "Feliz Navidad" (again, time consuming) and stamped each one.
Again, I am sorry that you are unhappy with it. I know it was late, but I did update my status on my profile page here as well as on the swap page.
Enjoy your holidays.
Response: Yay! Thank you! Sorry it was late, an extra thanks for the heart. I had a ball getting Frida together.
Response: Yay! I am glad you like her.
Response: I hope you enjoy it! I had a lot of fun putting it together. :)
Response: I'm glad you liked your package! I had fun getting it together, once I figured it out. :)
Response: I am surprised to hear that, and sorry! I keep my art and craft items away from where my partner smokes, but I guess I'll have to figure something else out. Really sorry about that.
I really made an effort to pay attention to the particulars of your profile, too... just so you know. I understand that it was sent out late. Anyway... sorry about everything.
Response: Aw thanks, Robert, I look forward to getting to know you better! We "alternative" folk tend to be pretty awesome, I think.
Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed everything.
Response: Thank you! The little zine was just an exercise, I may use it for the November zine swap, but I had fun with it. I am glad you liked everything!
Response: Yes, it is a little mini zine. Hope you enjoyed everything, thanks for the heart!
Response: They're both great, but the sausage stuffing is easier to put together. Let me know if you try them!
Response: Wow, thanks! Hm... I'm not sure just yet! :)
Response: Yay! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Response: Thanks very much! :)
Response: Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it -- it is my first foray back into zines in a couple years, a good way to warm up. I am looking forward to November's!
Response: I am glad you feel that way -- after I sent the letter I was a little nervous that I would totally put you off... which wasn't my intention at all. I'll look forward to hearing from you!
Response: Michele, thank you so, so much! I was so worried that you wouldn't like it. I had so much fun venturing outside my comfort zone, this definitely will not be my last little quilt... I'm thinking placemats and pot holders... maybe a new swap? Hm!!
Response: I'm glad you liked them! Yes, I used an actual loteria card to make it. It was a lot of fun going through all my boxes of papers and choosing them to use in your envelopes!
Response: I am glad you enjoyed it, Rachel! I had fun putting it together for you. Thanks for the heart!
