Comment: Great ATC-wish I could zentangle better. Guess it just takes practice. You are right we had so much snow this winter that the tiles /ceiling in my craft room fell down! finally getting someone to fix it-a lot of people had house problems. We need our roof fixed too but the soonest we can get that done is sept-hopefully it won't be snowing again!

Response: The class was awesome -- one of Traci Bautista's. The fuzzy looking flowers were done with a sort of beat up, coarse-bristled brush using paint on just the tips. Never throw anything away! ;-)

Comment: You did a great job. The paint you used probably was hard to work with on water color paper, but we all have to experiment!! I did some of that today, with "gelli printing" with my art guild friends. I used a commercial plate but I also made one last night from a recipe, took it, and cut it in 4ths for the people who didn't have one to play with. We had fun!
Response: I used watercolors. But playing a bit the other day I think it would have worked better if I had wet the paper first. Trial and error! :-)

Comment: Lovely book mark! I like the shimmer on the leaves. I was just in Estes Park this summer. We toured the Stanley Hotel, had lunch at The Egg & I, and drove through the Rocky Mountain National Park! It was just beautiful! I bet it's even more beautiful in the fall! Comment: I LOVE them, thanks!!! I got the envelope in a "damaged in postal transit" bag, and was terrified, but the ATCs look just fine. It must be that just the envelope was torn.
Response: Oh no! Glad they arrived safely. I guess that is a good reason to use sturdy backing.

Response: Glad you like them. The outline was easy. I struggled with the face and getting the look of the body just right. So I cut it out and used as mask -- there's always a solution. ;-)

Response: Thank you! Glad you like it. :-) I don't do a lot of stamping. But when I use a stamped image on an ATC I always try to make it special with either an artful background, embossing, coloring, or as in this case fussy cutting with other handmade collage elements.

Comment: Have you tried shading with a pencil? That will add a lot of depth to your tangles. I think that's actually the best part because that's where it really comes alive. But you do beautiful, detailed work. Thanks for the card.
Response: Thank you for the suggestion. I sometimes shade, but my results seem inconsistent. I've picked up some blending stumps and am practicing using them. Hopefully, my shading results in more consistent effects.

Response: Thank you. I did it with layers of stencils. I was playing with colors trying to come up with some combinations that are a bit out of my comfort zone.
