Description:

A number of newbies have expressed interest in Artist Trading Cards , so this swap will help you learn to construct an ATC with minimal requirements for artistic ability. One card to one partner.

The only two rules about ATCs are:

  1. They must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches in size. (64mm x 89 mm)
  2. They must never be sold, only traded.

Okay, are you ready for the swap requirements?

Don't be scared. :)

  • Cut your card stock to the correct size (see above). If you want to make the card extra sturdy, glue a second piece of card stock or lightweight cardboard to the back. For this swap, your edges should be cut neatly and evenly.
  • You can draw predominately one zentangle pattern all over your card, or use several patterns as in the swap photo.
  • You may use official tangles, or create your own zendoodles.
  • Your card may feature only patterns, or you can draw an outline of something and fill it in with tangles/doodles.
  • Only black and white pens, please, for this swap.
  • Do your best work. Make sure all pencil marks are erased, edges are cut cleanly, no ink blots. Your zentangle doesn't have to be complicated, but it should be done neatly.
  • Turn your card over and write the name of the swap, your name, and the date on the back.
  • Send it off to your partner on time. This is part of the swap requirements. If you send late, your partner may rate you a 3.

Rate promptly and accurately.
Communicate with me and your partner if there are problems.

This swap is not profile-specific, so you can start working it before partners are assigned.

Snailmail 03/12/2016 #

Is that one in the picture above?

TC 03/12/2016 #

Yes. You can google "zendoodle" or "zentangle" and find thousands of images.

Is it a single card swap?

TC 03/15/2016 #

Yes, one ATC to one partner.

Pupkitmomof4 03/19/2016 #

Just to clarify; black ink only? No pencil marks?

TC 03/22/2016 #

@pupkitmomof4 - correct. Black ink only, erase any pencil marks that aren't shading.

Does it have to be on white card stock or can we use a different color?
