I consider myself to be a creative person and I have a degree in film from UNLV. I am a Community Leader for Walgreens. Walgreens was my first and only job and I worked my way up the chain. I try to bring as much creativity and fun as I can to the job with is hard in retail. I have been married nearly ten years now to a great person. Someone I would consider my soulmate if there there is such a thing. Hans is as passionate about animals as I am and is honest to a fault.
Some of my favorite tv shows are from the UK. I am a bit of an Anglophile. Monty Python, The Young Ones, Are You Being Served?, Graham Norton and the Original Office are some of my favorites. The Ricky Gervais Show, Life's too short, An Idiot Abroad and Extras are some more of the shows I love. I pretty much love anything by Ricky Gervais. I think there should be a Law and Order channel that runs 24/7. My recent obsession is American Horror Story and Oddities.
I am very passionate about animals and their welfare. I dream of the time when I can buy a few acres of rural land and start a small animal sanctuary to be able to save the animals no one else wants. I am currently toying with the idea of starting a non profit called Simon's House. It would be a group that accepts donations of food for cats and then passing it on to animal welfare groups locally.
I have not travelled much but I love learning about new places. I actually dream of living in England or Germany one day. It just seems like so much more of a different life style than in America. I love receiving little trinkets from all over. My favorite item was a set of Russian Nesting Dolls that my friend brought back from Russia. Unique travel trinkets are my new collection but it is quite small right now. I also love postcards from abroad, especially the postage markings and stamps.
I consider myself to be off the beaten path at heart. I like all things odd and unique. I find amazement and beauty in things that others don't. I like photography, but close up, detail s that force you to see things in a new way.
I do not appreciate anything religious. I don't find it offensive I just have zero appreciation for it.
On the other hand, if you happen to have anything Atheist or Humanist related in the form of a postcard I would love to have that. I have yet to see such a thing.
