Crafting and creating = happiness

I have always been a multi-crafter, starting with sewing, crochet, collage, and photo-journaling, and then beaded jewelry and paper-crafting. My current favorites are mixed media crafting and assemblage art, which is perfect for my collection of different craft supplies!

I love paper crafting and mixed media and I'm always coming up with new craft projects. Right now, I especially enjoy hand-making embellishments, greeting cards, mixed media art, and mixed media decor. I make things in different styles, just depending on what inspiration hits me at the time. I tend to use paints and inks in abstract ways and to add color.

When I see other people's creations, I am often drawn to pieces that have added textures, patterns, layers, and small detailed elements and embellishments.

With swaps, I am open to the creativity of the sender and am interested to see what arrives! I think too many limitations can hinder creativity, while some guidelines can spur it on. I really appreciate handmade art.

There are options to list favorite movies, books, tv, etc. For me, sci-fi and fantasy (non-horror) is where it's at! I love everything from the lighter sci-fi with frequent comedic interjections and sometimes corny humor as long as there is solid story and character development, to more serious tales of space adventures. Some of the series I enjoy include: Doctor Who, The Expanse, Dark Matter, Travelers, The Chronicles of Shannara (reading currently), The Deed of Paksenarrion, Harry Potter (movies and books!!), and the Inheritance Cycle.
