I am a printmaker, draw-er, painter, bookmaker, & sometimes knitter.

i like all kinds of animals.

i make art and teach art.

i believe you can make just about anything out of paper.

i like plants and have made a couple of terrariums in hopes of keeping ferns alive in the house!

i'm crazy for almost any kind of out of the ordinary or over looked printed matter: posters, decorative paper, maps, mysterious diagrams, textbook illustrations, instructional illustrations, comic books, vintage advertising, food packaging, foreign packaging, fruit stickers & "inspected by" tags. the weirder the better.

helvetica is my favorite typeface.

i have official collections of pencils, paper clips, rulers, cameras, tins, and wonderhorses (but i only have 3 of those).

i like pinhole photography & other low tech cameras.

i like mid-century modern & vintage utilitarian furnishings. most of my furniture is wood & rectangular, or it's a metal cabinet.

i like any color, although purple is not my favorite & i don't care for "jewel tones"

i'm not very "girly". i can't stand anything scented . i don't usually like ornate crafty things like beaded things, or wirework, or overly embellished anything. i don't really wear jewelry. i don't wear makeup or perfume. i don't like glitter except in very specific situations (like when i cover fake birds with it :) )

lately i have been watching "arrested development", "the office" (british), and "the muppet show". we don't watch tv actual tv anymore, after 3 years i still miss ''adult swim" and "the daily show". sigh jon stewart is so dreamy, dontcha think?

I can't remember the last time i "read a book". most of what i read is instructional or informational. a few months ago i read one short story out of a herman hesse book my bf got for me.

drawing, printmaking, painting, card making, book making, christmas decorations, making stuff out of paper, making or modifying cameras, flamework glass beads - animals & monsters, playing with my cats, & sewing - but i don't do much of it.
