I'm 26, living in San Francisco with my boyfriend and our two cats, Roxie and Lola. I graduated from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) and currently work full time as the women's stylist/visual merchandising in a department store.
I love:
FLAVOURS + SMELLS: chocolate, caramel, cinnamon and cloves, vanilla, jasmine, rose and lemon.
COLOURS: red, black, pink, and white.
ANIMALS: cats, raccoons and deer. hummingbirds, swallows, robins and ravens. sea otters, seahorses and jellyfish. dinosaurs and bugs.
KAWAII CUTENESS: Hello Kitty, Deery-Lou, Sugar Bunnies, most Sanrio and San-X characters. I collect cute Japanese stationery, notebooks, deco tape, stickers...etc.
P.S. I am vegetarian (10+ years) so please don't send anything with meat.
YUCKY: Coconut. Black licorice. Old lady "cute" stuff like little kittens and Pooh Bear/Diddle.
BOOKS I LOVE:
His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Harry Potter, Because She Said So by Mary Gaitskill.
BOOKS I WOULD LOVE TO READ:
classics
historical fiction
Francesca Lia Block books
thrillers by Stephan King or Michael Crichton etc..
These days I'm listening to Band of Horses, Camera Obscura, Stars, Mew, Architecture in Helsinki, The Cold War Kids, Yelle, Poni Hoax, The Arcade Fire, Bloc Party and more... Some old favorites are Nick Cave, Bjork, The Cure, Joy Division, etc... I like most 80s music and love 60s music especially from countries outside the US (like France). I'm not so crazy about country or most R&B.
Amelie is always a favorite. I love Jim Henson films like Dark Crystal, The Labyrinth, and Mirror Mask. Tim Burton, Jim Jarmush, Wes Anderson and Sophia Copala films.
I like LOST, and CSI but try not to watch too much TV. Animal planet is awesome too.
decos, collage, drawing, painting, knitting, sewing, screen-printing, photography, interior decorating...anything I can try really. I would love to swap yarns, collage/scrapbooking papers, stickers, rubber stamps, ribbons, buttons, fabrics, and other odds and ends.
