I am a nearly 40 year old mother of two young children (3-year-old boy and infant girl) who has a way too busy day job and not enough time for my favorite crafting activities! I enjoy fabric, natural fibers, buttons, the color green, cats, children, books, good food, sharp knives, intelligent conversation, and good wine. I collect llamas and castle towers (single towers, like chess rooks). I have an MA in HIstory, but I play an Engineer during the day.
Very eclectic. Classical, folk, "Renaissance Faire" folk, Bluegrass, Big-Band Jazz, Celtic (I love "Thistle and Shamrock" on Public Radio), 80s one-hit wonders, classic rock...
Indiana Jones, Star Wars, The Great Race, Buckaroo Banzai, Creator, October Sky, Most Disney classics, too many to list!
I don't watch much TV - it's so much crud, and takes too much time from other things. I watch a lot of DvDs of kids TV, though! Hurray for Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder!
I am a long-time participant in historical reenacting (Middle Ages) and my primary crafting love is garment sewing. I also knit, spin, and dabble in other crafts.
