Hello, I'm a 24 year old college student from the upstate New York area. I have a degree in art, but have recently changed career paths and I now study Occupational Therapy, though I still love creating and observing art of all kinds. I volunteer at a children's hospital in my free time, and I have a large family(7 older siblings with spouses and 11 nieces and nephews) that I'm close with. I have a hairless Devon Rex/Sphynx cat back home, but no pets that live with me now.

I haven't had much time for reading lately, but I like historical romance(the more pirates, boats, royals, carriages and grand estates involved the better!), mystery, anything related to the law, csi, or medicine. My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, John Grisham, and J.K. Rowling. Also, I love learning abut the human body and mind. If you come across any articles related to health or diseases I'd probably be interested in reading them. I almost forgot Dr. Seuss, gotta love him!

I'm a sucker for reality tv...America's Next Top Model, Top Chef, Project Runway, Untold Stories of the ER, Plastic Surgery: Before and After, Extreme Makeover, and Ace of Cakes. I also love House MD, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and Law & Order SVU.

I like rock, hip hop, indie, bagpipes, a little bit of everything except christian, gospel, country, or anything involving screaming or a lot of swearing.

colored glass bottles (esp. blue and green), or colored glass orbs, random oddities, antique-ish stuff, gnomes, frogs, wine, coffee, mixed drinks, nail polish, lotions, scrubs, jewelry, hand crafted items, candles, avocados, chocolate, anything related to oil painting, sculpture or art of any kind. I love plants, greenery, flowers, herbs, gardens, and seeds, anything celebrating Scottish heritage. If it's quirky and odd, I will probably like it. Did I mention coffee?

I love, love, LOVE soft textured things. I'm kind of a tactile freak. If I see something that looks soft or furry then I have to touch it and probably rub it against my cheek if no one is looking, and then I'm happy. Oddly happy.

Colors: bright, fresh grassy green, rich blues and purple. I love any color combinations that remind me of nature. Sunset colors are nice, blues mixed with oranges and yellows, tealish-blue is a hit with me, and brown with teal or blue is always lovely.

Animals: I like frogs and bugs, but I'm open to anything unusual. My niece collects small animal figures(llamas, zebras, pigs, etc. on the realistic side) so anything like that would be great. Getting a miniature emu or something odd like that would be the highlight of our week.

Scents: Fresh, clean, light scents, citrus, fruit, cucumber melon, sweet dessert-type scents

General: I like random oddities. I tend to prefer calming colors, soft fabrics, cozy things and simple designs. I also collect unusual and beautiful buttons, I love antique glass buttons the most.

Dislikes/Allergies: I'm allergic to cats, and strong perfumes and scents. I'm not a big fan of Americana style or flags. I don't really like stuffed animals or anything related to religion. I prefer items that aren't overly girly or glittery please. :)

I'm not a huge crafter yet, but Im getting into it more and more. I just received a new sewing machine for Christmas, so I'm excited to start some new projects using that!
