Hi!
I'm a young new Social Worker. I am also a queer Transman (ask me if you don't know what that is) who enjoys a good cup of tea and/or coffee. I enjoy spending time with my awesome friends. Being active in my socially progressive UCC church, XC Skiing, and contemplating whether or not I want to go into ministry with the UCC.
I am also a self proclaimed knight, in case you were wondering.
My favorite music is: anything, no really I literally listen to everything from Acid rock to Zimbabwean tribal music.
My music library looks like that of someone with Schizophrenia. My latest playlist consists of early blues, with artists like Big Bill Broonzy, and Leadbelly. I am also on an Indie-pop type kick, with such artists as Mumford and Sons and Florence and the Machine.
I LOVE reading. I have a kindle, and it's awesome! My favorite book is Angela's Ashes, by Frank McCourt. I also like anything social work/social justice related. I am also getting into Queer/Gender studies books. I will read anything you give me. The Shack and The Alchemist are probably 2 books that have changed my worldviews.
I like cult movies (Goonies, Boondock Saints, Newsies), and cheap "B" horror films that are actually comedic (Killer Clowns from Outer Space, the Heathers), and what I call 90s classic movies (The Mighty, Fern Gully, Mighty Ducks, etc etc)
I am currently learning to crochet. I also make friendship bracelets and random art, acrylic paintings mostly. I like creating things, building outdoor stuff like bird feeders and bird houses.
My friends call me Marty Stewart, haha.
I mostly watch PBS, and other community/educational television. Although I satisfy my inner gigantic nerd/geek/dork with Big Bang Theory every week, that is my life, seriously.
