Favorite Crafts

I love paper crafts! I never buy a greeting card. I always make my own and I love to collect supplies - stamps....stickers....ribbons and bows....buttons......brads and other doo-dads. I have a great collection of ATCs and I have not been able to swap for a while, but I am ready to join some more swaps now. Because of a major 'life upset', I had to put all of my ATC and scrapbook supplies in storage, but I have a new place to live now and I have very much missed my hobbies! I have scrapbooks for all of the children in my family and I have quite a few supplies that I can swap out. Love doing that!!!!! Looking forward to making some new friends here and sharing the 'stuff' that I make! I had a profile here over a year ago with a good rating, but because I have had to move and change so many th ings in my life, I don't know what my email, login or password was, so I guess I will have to start over as a newbie :-(

Favorite Music

I have a sticker on the back window of my Explorer that says 'Rage Against the Machine'. My kids, who are into the 'rappy pop', make fun of me! I love anything that Chris Cornell performs. I also like new alternative with lots of acoustic guitar. Even tho' 'Toad the Wet Sprocket' is old , there's an example. I like to see Edwin McCain when he comes to town.

About Me

I am a Medical Language Specialist for a large company that takes care of records from wrongful death and malpractice suits. I love the work! and I work at home. I live near the beach which is lovely! The town has so many outdoor activities at the beach - there is always something to do. I have lots of children in my family that I like to do crafts with. They each have their own 'art and craft stash' of goodies at my house that they love to dig into and use especially on rainy days. We have a lot of fun :-)

Things I Collect for my Art Pr

Stickers. Sequins. I need lots of sequins :-) Punchies. I love all shapes. Teeny Tiny Bottons. German Scrap. The metallic looking kind that makes cards and ATCs look sooooo nice when you add the strips for trim. I just love that stuff - but it's hard to find. Small die cuts. Ribbon. I have been looking for one that I ran out of and I can't find it anywhere! It's a rusty brown 'cinnamon' color with a hint of red. Hard to describe but it was a great color. I look for it where ever I go. Pretty paper scraps. I especially like 'baroque' type designs or paper with damask prints. Antique-looking ephemera. (for ATCs) I like Retro kitchen stuff....like from the 50s...women in their aprons and food pictures and advertisements....the cool bright colors and patterns of the tablecloths and napkins and curtains from that era. I also like the Vintage Swimsuit photographs and old beach photos. I can't seem to find much of that. Buttons. Sequins. And Punchies. Flat metal pieces for embellishments. Die cut letters and numbers. I love swirlies! (made from chipboard, cardstock cut from dies, paper printed, etc.) Used Postage Stamps Did I mention sequins and punchies?

Comment: Thank you for the three tarot cards. Two of them especially are so layered and detailed. I would have liked to know where you found your inspirations, as per the swap description. Thank you.
Response: I looked at many many websites - too many to list - (that's why I didn't) and I tried to find as many images as possible.

Comment: Wow, these are so adorable, thank you! Did you use erasers? What are they? V.creative, i love them. Apprec the paper too & i desperately needed some. Thanks again :-)
Response: Yep! Erasers - I have a child who absolutely LOVES erasers and those are some that she had alot of extras of. Slicing them in half was a little tricky, but I didn't want them to be too thick. Glad you like them!!!!! :-) Sheryl

Comment: Hello Sheryl, I received your ATC that shared the State flower and State bird of Alabama. It showed each item in a fairly realistic manner. It will be a new and different version ATC of State Flower and State Bird to offer variation in my collection of State Birds and State Flowers of the U.S.I also want to thank you for the extra papers you sent that would be fun for ATCs. Hope to see you in future swaps. Until then, Happy Swapping! Barb Brandt sleepingrover2010
