Hello Friends! My name is Amy. I have always loved sending and receiving mail. It brings me joy to put together something special for someone to receive in the mail. And it brightens my day to go to the mailbox and find mail waiting for me. I think we all need a little extra joy in our lives right now!

A quick introduction.... I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I am currently living in a little community nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. I am passionate about hiking and going on outdoor adventures. Some of my favorite places to explore are Yosemite, the Mono Lake area, and trails in the Bay Area. I am a Mom to a 18 year old daughter, a 16 year old son, two cats, one rabbit, and two guinea pigs.

As for swaps.... I will be overjoyed with anything I receive! I really like surprises and especially things that are quirky, weird, or whimsical. I enjoy hearing people's stories so you can tell me about your day, an adventure you went on, your favorite place, or some fun facts. I can't think of any dislikes. I do eat gluten free and vegan, but I won't be offended if I receive something that does not fall into those categories. I will just pass it on to someone in my family. I will send my swaps out right away. If something doesn't arrive just let me know and I will be happy to resend. I will register everything I receive as soon as I open it. I am very patient so if something takes a long time in the mail, no worries. I enjoy writing letters and am always looking for pen pals.

Some of my favorite things.....

ACTIVITES: I like being outdoors whenever possible. I like hiking, camping, geocaching, and just going out an exploring new areas. I enjoy learning about new things and I listen to audiobooks and podcasts throughout the day. But, at the end of the day I like to settle in with a regular book too. I am a history buff and like to dive into topics. I recently started researching my family history and have been captivated by my ancestors stories.

BOOKS: I enjoy reading books about history and also the classics. It feels like time travel to me when I read something written in the past. Some of my favorite books are East of Eden by John Steinbeck, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and The Iliad by Homer. I also really enjoy reading graphic novels based on classic books. Every once in awhile I like to indulge in a good mystery too.

MOVIES/SHOWS: My favorite movies/shows tend to be dramas, mysteries, sci-fi, thrillers, art house movies, and independent films.

MUSIC: I like and listen to all genres of music. I especially like songs with beautiful lyrics that are like poems or tell a story.

ANIMALS: I adore them all! I have two cats named Moppet and Mittens. I had three rabbits and named them Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton Tail (only sweet Mopsy is left and I just call her bunny). As you can tell I like Beatrix Potter stories! My kids named our guinea pigs Baldy and Cucumber. I am not an actual bird watcher, but I do enjoy informally watching birds.

ART: I spend most of my time drawing and painting. I also like collage, dyeing with natural plant dyes, and making bohemian wall hangings.

COLORS: I like bright colors, black and white, and sunset colors. Red is my favorite color.
