I like to make things and share what I make : ). Repurposed recyclables are my current passion. The dollar rack at my local thrift market is a favorite source for items to feather my creative nest. I like to challenge myself to see what can be made from what I can get off/out of the dollar rack/bin or find. That's what tilts my whirl - GREAT FUN! Its always a pleasure to share creative pursuits with like minded crafty souls. A lot of time is spent in answering . . .Hmmmm, what can I make out of that?
As far as music goes I like a wide variety. The B-52's are one of my favorites groups, as well as Chaka Khan and Doris Day. I also like some of the big bands and vocalist of days gone by. I love listening to the organ music on carrosels when I go to the state fair : )
Haven't read many books. Two that come to mind are Mutant Message Down Under and A Short Guide to A Happy Life. How to/craft books are my main interest. How to books with pictures and diagrams are my favorite.
I love old movies and have to be in the mood to sit long enough to watch one. If its Sunday and I happen to turn on (tcm) I may not get much done that day, LOL. Some of my favorite movies are The Birdcage, Romancing the Stone, Gentlemen Prefer Blonds, mysteries, adventure and some psy-fi (vintage star trek rocks) some of my favorite actors are Michael Caine, Alan Cumming and Christopher Walken
Watching t.v. isn't one of my favorite past times. But when I am watching its usually an old movie,or Diners, Drive-In's and Dives. On sundays I've recently gotten into watching RuPaul's Drag Race, Drag U and Untucked. I've also gotten into the PBS program Downton Abbey. Also any time I get to catch Alan Cumming on Masterpiece Mystery or on The Goodwife its a treat. If you can't tell already I'm a big fan of Alan Cumming, he's a treat to look at and a wonderful role model for the gay (LBGT)community. Ha, I'm even starting a scrapbook about him.
I've always enjoyed making things and seeing how things are made or what other people are making. Guess I got a high Craft Curiosity rating. Actually my Grammy passed along her crafty gene - along with my mother - with a jazzhand high five. : ) Recently I've gotten into spinning fibers, knitting, felting and finding out all what can be done with all the many wonderful fibers that are available. Recently I've gotten into zines, reading and making : )
