Hello All! Now all my swaps have been sent out and have arrived at their destinations, I'm going to take the summer off from swapping. The weather's too good and I've too many little jobs to do around the house. I'll be back in September, when the days are shorter, the weather's colder and I've more time on my hands.

My name is Oonagh. I'm 32. From Ireland... I'm a professional artist, working mainly in photography and video. I'm also in the process of setting up my own business as a cake decorator, you can see my work on my facebook page 'thecakewhisperer'. I've just found this website and I got really excited. In my teens I had lots of penpals around the world and really miss the humble art of going to the post office and the joy and anticipation of waiting on the postman for something other than bills! It makes the world feel like a smaller place, and not so scary afterall... My mind is also currently swimming with all the swaps I can set up.. Let's get some collaborative international artworks going!

Okay I suppose, em, likes... Butterflies, Russian Dolls, Retro Robots, Peacocks.. Ladybirds.. Rockabilly/Sailor Jerry Tattoo Art, esp. swallows.. Anything to do with cake or sugarcraft or food in general - recipes, cutters, etc.. I knit, crochet, embroider and sew alot.. Patterns, new or vintage, fabric, wool... bits and bobs.. At the moment I'm going through a 1920's/30's phase.. I love to walk.. one day I aim to run.. Clever ideas... Photographs, old or new, especially ones that look like they need somebody to give them a good home.. Snoopy books - not the accessories, just the books.. I like things that smell clean or musky.. not floral or fruity... ...music, music, music, music, music... the whole spectrum.. I'm big into cinema, and the history of cinema.. silent, sub-titled, musical, b+w, two flies climbing a wall.. I'll watch it... Love period dramas, but strangely only watch them once a month...lol. Plan to start my own vegetable garden this year.. I play Taiko drumming.. Anything that has the potential to be made into something else... And love handmade things that people have made themselves... something that they've put their heart into... I love the element of surprise... Probably why I'm not being overly particular here!

Dislikes... hmm.. That's harder to answer.. I'm allergic to chocolate.. that's my big no no... I'm vegetarian, so no meat... Don't drink tea or coffee, i.e. caffiene, but have a herbal tea collection, and one of these days I'll made my own blends. Which all makes me sound very clean living, though my liver might beg to differ!;) Not the biggest sports person in the world, though I'm big into pilates.... Other than that, I'll fill in as I go along.. When I think of dislikes, it's more things that peeve me that come to mind, like flakes as you put it.. people being unreliable and not living up to their end of the bargain...

I always thought I was the least girlie girl on the planet.. whoops.. I think after re-reading this I was wrong! :D
