Hi ... I'm a "woman of a certain age" :-) meaning that I might very well be closer in age to your mom than to you. That said, in some ways I have yet to grow up and don't fit any one stereotype. My interests and likes include art, design, textiles, kitsch, world travel, recycling and low impact living and more. I have numerous collections that range from vintage and retro stuff to bicycle, sewing machine and penguin memorabilia. I am not big on commercial characters or kawaii.

I swap mostly for handmade items of high quality. I tend to like things that are more sophisticated than just cute and try to avoid useless little trinkets.

I like things that are beautiful and useful at the same time.
