I hate writing about myself. You'd think that, as someone who nearly has a BA in English and is planning on going to grad school, I'd be good at writing or something. You'd be wrong. Unless I'm writing on constructions of gender in Victorian novels or something, I tend to just ramble on. (But see how I snuck that personal information in up there? I guess I'm not so bad.)
So my name is Sara. I usually fill in these 'About Me' boxes with some random gobbledegook copy-n-pasted from the spam emails I get. Have you ever really read the stuff in your spam folder? Some of it is downright poetic. Not the ones about V1@gR@ so much, but the ones that use webcrawlers to piece together random bits of text from the internet, usually in interesting ways. They try so hard to seem like real people sending real emails, but it just doesn't work. It's kind of like what I'm doing right now. The whole point of filling this out is to convince you other swap-botters that I am, in fact, a real and good person who will send you things. So I decided that the weird spam profile was probably a bad move... although it is very meta.
I love making watercolor paintings and small sculptures with whatever I can find. I signed up for this so that I'd get off my ass and make some more art, so I'd definitely be up for some art trades.
I listen to a variety of things, but don't really know much about musical genres or how to describe what I like. I don't like making a big list of every band on my hard drive, though, so here's a short one: Pixies, Radiohead, Rasputina, The B-52s, Daft Punk, Modest Mouse. Other stuff. It's probably easier to talk about the music I don't like: most metal and most classic rock. Celine Dion. I also listen to really silly things, like Auto-Tune the News.
I kind of hate this question, because most of the books I read for school are in the 'love to analyze it, don't love to read it' category. I take an almost masochistic pleasure in reading otherwise unpleasurable texts just so I can pick them apart afterward. I'd like to read more SF, though. I love Lovecraft. I love most modern and postmodern stuff. I might add more later.

Hello Sara, I was just writing because I was curious as to whether or not you had received the Jackalope ATC I sent? Please let me know if you have. Thanks.....Sara (Nimue) :)
Just wanted to let you know I created a new ATC swap with Tim Burton as theme for the new Foundation 42-group.
I hope you will like the swap and maybe join...
