Hello, I am Ffi. Nice to meet you. I'm a fan of snail mail but unfortunately I do not have much opportunity to use it, given technological advances such as the internet. It'd be nice to meet people on here and share pictures and thoughts, in the form of art, writing and various other ephemera.

Painting, drawing, photography, D.I.Y. projects, home decorating and most other forms of art-making

Other interests

Long distance bike riding in the countryside; adding music to my iPod; interesting vegetarian food (I like Indian and Italian food in particular); books; movies; art history; culture and roller blading. I also like animals, and especially Plu Plu, my pet rat. That's him below. :)

What kind of swapper am I?

I like letter-writing and nostalgia. I am interested in penpalling and enjoy the creative, handmade, personal approach to mailing. The concept of swapping Artist Trading Cards and original artwork is also very appealing to me. At the same time, I am not fussy about what I receive as long as it tells me something about the sender.

Private swaps / penpal proposals are welcome- message me! I'd love a few new penpals.

The following list are just things I like and are meant to help if you're in a swap with me and you have no idea what to make or what style of decoration to use.

Fairies, Medieval style, castles, princesses, mermaids, vintage, nineties music and style, Buffy, kawaii, comic books and graphic novels, unicorns, elves, art deco, art history (in particular, painters like Van Gogh and Klimt), Pink Floyd-style psychedelics, Riot Grrl, anything pretty, decorated letters, long and thoughtful letters, anything fantasy-related, flowers, plants, animals and dinosaurs. Think that about sums it up!

  • Kindly, I would prefer not to receive "naked" mail, like postcards, as I like to keep my mail private. Decorated envelopes are still very welcome.

I like the sound of a private swap although I haven't done any before, so I am a bit dumbfounded as to how they're set up. I'd love to know more about Croatia- it's a mystery to me and I love finding out about countries that are new to me. I'll paste this message on your page so that I'm sure you get to see it.
