About Me

I'm a librarian by day, crafter by night and weekend. I taught myself how to quilt and manage to find time to sew every day. I also brew my own beer, kickbox, and am active in local democratic politics. I live in Indianapolis with my husband and 2 lhasa apsos, Butch and Cassidy.

Favorite Crafts

Quilting and sewing. Right now, I love white in quilts, and like modern designs. I spend too much time looking at fabric online and buying it in person. Oh, and I love to wear dresses. I recently bought 1200 assorted sewing patterns off of Craigslist, because I'm a little bit crazy.

Favorite Books

For quilt books, I recently read and liked Denyse Schmidt Quilts and Amy Butler's latest. As I'm a librarian, I read tons of other things, too. Mostly memoirs.

Favorite Television

I'm still a fan of The Simpsons. Also, I like The Office and How I Met Your Mother. I try and stay away from reality TV.

Likes: 100% cotton, quilt shop quality fabric, red/aqua, bold patterns, polka dots, stripes, fruit, pink, ricrac, Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Tula Pink, Heather Bailey and more, cupcakes, office supplies, stationary and fun pens, ribbon, cheese, all things Italian Dislikes: Religious items, plaids, Civil War era fabrics, old lady prints, meat, suburbs, synthetic fabrics, watering flowers
