Hi, my name is Anna and I live in Perth, Western Australia. I am 27 years old. I love music and all things creative. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about new places. I am currently working in retail but am looking for a way to use my Bachelor of Media in Radio. Im really excited about joining swap bot and can't wait to receive lovely things in the mail.
I am particularly interested in the postcard swaps. I have been collecting free postcards for years and love to buy a few when travelling. I also like using postcards as decorations and inspiration on my walls at home. I love anything to do with nature on postcards: beachscenes, plants, animals, beautiful scenery etc. I also enjoy anything with a vintage or retro aesthetic on postcards. I love Pucci prints and intricate patterns. I love 50s pinups and all things art nouveau. I love postcards of buildings with interesting architectural design too.
As well as postcards I have a love of zines, magazines and all things paper and mail art related. During my trip to Melbourne last year I visted the Sticky Institute, a hub of all things zines. I loved it. It was awesome.
My favourite colours are purple, blue, aqua, magenta, pink and balck. I don't mind orange and yellow too sometimes.
I have a very wide and varied taste in music. I primarily like dance/electronica and rock but will listen to most things except country and pop.
I enjoy reading and learning about new things. I love getting lost in a good story too. I enjoy reading Neil Gaiman, Laurell K. Hamilton, Poppy Z. Brite but I will read anything that is captivating and moving.
I enjoy watching Glee, NCIS, Poh's Kitchen, The Gruen Transfer, the Gruen Planet, True Blood, Being Human just to name a few.
Stationery (gorgeous pens, lovely paper for handwritten letters, small notebooks etc.)
giftcards and notecards (handmade and storebought)
Rubber stamps and inkpads
Badges (Think they are called buttons in the US)
Buttons (for clothes)
vintage tins
zines
ephmera
-stickers
I can send:
-free Australian postcards/ store bought postcards
paper ephmera (Perth nightlife fliers and posters)
I don't really have alot of experience with papercrafts eg. handmade cards, atc, etc. although I am more than willing to give it a go
handwritten letters on nice paper
I do like tea, coffee and most edible stuff and would happily receive it myself.
Although, Western Australia has quite strict customs and I would hate for anyone's swap to get wrecked by customs for quarantine reasons.
So to be safe I will not be entering any tea swaps or swaps where edibles are involved.
If anyone can offer me any advice or comments in regards to this issue I'll be very grateful.
